Introduction
There are a lot of fan-made series/works made that are seen as actual series that are taken seriously. A good example of this is Super Mario Bros. Z which had a huge impact on Sprite animation. Profiles like these are allowed on the site as they promote further creativity and a place for you to have further discussion on characters you like. However, there are some regulations for fanon profiles as they tend to be far more loose and inconsistent then licensed series. Please note that bad quality or good quality isn't enough to take off or make a fanon profile on this wiki if they don't meet the rest of the criteria.

*Serial: The fanon work normally must be a serialized piece of work. A serial has a continuing plot that unfolds in a sequential episode-by-episode fashion. Serials typically follow main story arcs that span entire television seasons or even the full run of the series, which distinguishes them from traditional episodic television that relies on more stand-alone episodes.

*Fan-Games: The Fan-Games allowed are the ones that have genuine effort put into them, are different enough from source material to where you can verify it as it's own game, and are not graphic overhauled remakes (I.E.- AM2R meets the first part of the Fan-Games criteria but not the last 2. *Scaling: Fanon works scaling to original material also requires not only the feats in question to be blatant enough to where the fan-game author would be able to tell they performed a feat like that in the original material, but also that it's constantly referenced in the game. A good example of this would be a lot of fanon authors being aware that a character like Son Goku can destroy planets so if they mention his past adventures in their fanon work he'd scale to them. Varik (Press the B Button, Stupid!) is based off Earthbound where the Thunder & Storm feat occurred. It follows the direct plot points of the story and Toby himself is a massive Earthbound fan to the point that he re-coded the entire game. With this in mind, this should be fine to scale to their canon counterparts.

*Author Intent: The author of a fan-work tends to be far less knowledgeable on certain concepts due to their younger age. For fanon works that tend to be of lesser quality, WoG statements should be taken with a grain of salt. It should also be noted that majority of the time when a fanon work calls a character "omnipotent" they are almost always viewing them as purely all-powerful beings and not the requirements needed for our wiki's tier 0.

It should be noted that if your fanon profile meets the criteria and you've made it, that does not mean you can apply it to another characters tabbers. An example of this is adding a SMBZ tabber to Sonic or Mario. The reasoning for this is SMBZ Mario and Sonic are by technicalities not actually Mario or Sonic as they do not have the official copyright law behind them, thus they should not be applied to any of the official characters composites, or as an extra tabber. If you had a well-liked fanon verse you wanted to make that doesn't meet the criteria you can always use blog posts and make them there. If you want to add them to vs matches you can do it in the fun and games board and add their wins in the blog post. Though you cannot add the other characters loss on any official profile unless that character themself is in a blog post. Do also note to follow the character profile templates and rules.

Introduction

There are a lot of fan-made series/works that are seen as actual series that are taken seriously. A good example of this is Super Mario Bros. Z which had a huge impact on Sprite animation. Profiles like these are allowed on the site as they promote further creativity and a place for you to have further discussions on characters you like. However, there are some regulations for fanon profiles as they tend to be far more loose and inconsistent than licensed series. Please note that bad quality or good quality isn't enough to take off or make a fanon profile on this wiki if they don't meet the rest of the criteria.

Criteria

 • Serial: The fanon work normally must be a serialized piece of work. A serial has a continuing plot that unfolds in a sequential episode-by-episode fashion. Serials typically follow main story arcs that span entire television seasons or even the full run of the series, which distinguishes them from traditional episodic television that relies on more stand-alone episodes.
 • Fan-Games: The Fan-Games allowed are the ones that have genuine effort put into them, are different enough from source material to where you can verify it as its own game and are not graphically overhauled remakes (I.E.- AM2R meets the first part of the Fan-Games criteria but not the last 2. A good example of a fan-game profile that is allowed is Varik.
 • Coherent Scaling: First and foremost this is a wiki for indexing characters with actual feats and showings. If the fanon work has a progression of stats, a scaling chain, and abilities gained upon leveling up (most notable in fan-made RPGs), etcetera, it should be fine to use.

If it gets Accepted

 • Scaling: Fanon works scaling to original material also requires not only the feats in question to be blatant enough to where the fan-game author would be able to tell they performed a feat like that in the original material but also that it's constantly referenced in the game. A good example of this would be a lot of fanon authors being aware that a character like Son Goku can destroy planets so if they mention his past adventures in their fanon work he'd scale to them. Varik is based on Earthbound where nuclear reactor robots are common enemies. It follows the direct plot points of the story and Toby himself is a massive Earthbound fan to the point that he re-coded the entire game. With this in mind, this should be fine to scale to their canon counterparts.
 • Author Intent: The author of a fan-work tends to be far less knowledgeable on certain concepts due to their younger age. For fanon works that tend to be of lesser quality, WoG statements should be taken with a grain of salt. It should also be noted that the majority of the time when a fanon work calls a character "omnipotent" they are almost always viewing them as purely all-powerful beings and not the requirements needed for our wiki's tier 0.

Conclusions

It should be noted that if your fanon profile meets the criteria and you've made it, that does not mean you can apply it to other character tabbers. An example of this is adding an SMBZ tabber to Sonic or Mario. The reasoning for this is SMBZ Mario and Sonic are by technicalities not actually Mario or Sonic as they do not have the official copyright law behind them, thus they should not be applied to any of the official characters' composites, or as an extra tabber. If you had a well-liked fanon verse you wanted to make that doesn't meet the criteria you can always use blog posts and make them there. If you want to add them to vs matches you can do it in the fun and games board and add their wins in the blog post. However, you cannot add the other characters' loss on any official profile unless that character themself is in a blog post. Do also note to follow the character profile templates and rules.

Note

 • Original Characters (OCs) are not allowed even if they meet the qualifications.
