They give off an aura when used), Non-Physical Interaction (Characters can interact with the souls of the Gi Tribe), Regeneration Negation (Mid-High; Jenova can regenerate itself fully so long as its cells remain, as Cloud Strife participates in Jenova's Reunion despite only containing her cells. Despite this, pieces of Jenova defeated by the heroes were unable to enact the Reunion), Immortality Negation (Type 3; Can completely kill pieces of Jenova, preventing them from regenerating), Accelerated Development (When Sephiroth fought the party far earlier than he was supposed to, the main characters could still contend with him, even after Sephiroth absorbed the Whispers and became stronger than he had ever been)

Ethers and Turbo Ethers restore magic power), Resurrection (Phoenix Down fully restores fallen party members when they are defeated), Resistance to Status Effect Inducement (Remedy, Elixir, and Megalixir prevents negative status effects)

Standard Equipment

*Quicksilver: Vincent's default weapon, which he wielded during his time as a Turk. He then carried onto this weapon during his slumber in Shinra Mansion, and used it once he joined the main party. It has a total of three Materia slots.

  • Shotgun: Vincent's second weapon, replacing his initial handgun. It is a standard shotgun, but contains two linked Materia slots, and was purchased in Rocket Town for 3,100 gil.
  • Shortbarrel: The third weapon Vincent acquired, which comes with two linked Materia slots and one unlinked slot. He bought it in Wutai Village for 6,400 gil.
  • Lariat: A powerful riot gun with two linked and two unliked Materia slots, making it a far more viable version of the Shortbarrel. Vincent purchased it in Icicle Inn for 12,000 gil.
  • Winchester: A powerful long-ranged firearm bought by Vincent in Mideel for 18,000 gil. It contains three linked Materia slots within it.
  • Peacemaker: This elegantly designed gun is beautiful enough to hang in a gallery. It was either obtained in Kalm, or purchased in Junon for 3,300 gil. It has only one linked and one unliked Materia slot, though this weapon also comes with Double AP growth.
  • Buntline: A golden, long-ranged gun with two linked Materia slots, and also Double AP growth. Vincent could either have bought it in Junon for 6,800 gil, or it was dug up in Bone Village.
  • Long Barrel R: A long-ranged version of the Shortbarrel, more suited for Vincent's means of combat. It contains four linked Materia slots, and was bought in Costa del Sol for 13,000 gil.
  • Silver Rifle: A short, almost alien-looking gun that uses special, rounded ammunition, and which serves as Vincent's joke weapon. Although it is quite powerful, this gun is very ineffective, as it has no Materia slots whatsoever. Vincent can buy it in Junon for 3,300 gil, or find it within the Temple of the Ancients.
  • Sniper CR: Highly ranked in Vincent's arsenal, this sniper rifle comes equipped with a sniper scope for long-range combat, as well as two linked Materia slots. Vincent can purchase it in Junon for 3,300 gil, or find it within Mt. Nibel.
  • Supershot ST: A large and powerful firearm that lives up to its name, the Supershot ST contains three linked Materia slots, but no rate of growth. Vincent found this gun within the Ancient Forest.
  • Outsider: A gun with a unique noise-dampening design to conceal the location of the marksman, based on the Colt Python gun. It contains four unlinked Materia slots, as well as two sets of linked Materia slots, and was found by Vincent within the Sunken Gelnika.
  • Death Penalty: Vincent's ultimate weapon, as of the time of Meteorfall. It is a terrifyingly powerful weapon, with the added ability of dealing more damage depending on how many enemies Vincent has slain. It contains eight linked Materia slots, and was found by Vincent within Lucrecia's Cave, after first speaking to Lucrecia and then fighting a series of 10 random encounters.
  • Cerberus: Vincent's main weapon, which he wielded in every appearance following the original Final Fantasy VII. It is a powerful handgun able to shot three shots at once, and is ornamented with a chain of a Cerberus dog's head. It is highly customizable, able to be fitted with short, medium, and long barrels for different types of combat, as well as being able to be equipped with Materia. It can not only be wielded as a handgun, but also as a machine gun or sniper rifle, which truly makes it Vincent's most useful weapon.

*Summon: Small red orbs of crystalized Mako energy that can be used to call upon legendary, gargantuan beasts from the distant past, to fight alongside him. This includes giant flaming behemoths like Ifrit, to huge dragons like Bahamut.

  • Magic: Small green orbs of crystalized Mako energy that can be used to enable the use of magic spells, oftentimes being elemental in nature, such as Fire/Fira/Firaga which attacks with flames.
  • Command: Small yellow orbs of crystalized Mako energy that can be used to enable the use of extra commands in battle, such as the ability to throw items or steal items from enemies.

  • X-Potion: Restores all health.
  • Ether: Restores a small amount of magic power.
  • Turbo Ether: Restores all magic power.
  • Elixir: Restores all health and magic power.
  • Megalixir: Restores all health and magic power of the entire party.
  • Remedy: Cures all abnormal status effects, including Sleep, Poison, Sadness, Fury, Confusion, Silence, Frog, Mini, Slow, Petrify, Berserk, Paralysis, and Darkness.
  • Phoenix Down: Resurrects one party member from death.

Notable Techniques

  • Galian Beast: Vincent's first Limit Break, transforming him into a gigantic mythical blue beast. This transformation was granted to him due to the numerous experiments preformed on his corpse by Professor Hojo. In this gigantic beastly form, Vincent is capable of powerful uncontrollable melee attacks, seen in his Berserk Dance. He is also capable of conjuring and throwing balls of fire, seen with Beast Flare.
  • Death Gigas: Vincent's second Limit Break, transforming him into a gigantic Frankenstein's Monster-esque creature. This transformation was granted to him due to the numerous experiments preformed on his corpse by Professor Hojo. In this monstrous form, Vincent has grown tremendously, and thus can deal devastating melee damage with Gigadunk. He's also been filled with electrical power that conducts through the metallic bolts in his skin, allowing for a large and extremely deadly blast of electrical discharge, in the form of Livewire.
  • Hellmasker: Vincent's third Limit Break, transforming him into a masked chainsaw-wielding maniac reminiscent of classic horror villains. This transformation was granted to him due to the numerous experiments preformed on his corpse by Professor Hojo. In this horrific state, Vincent can wield his chainsaw to tear up opponents with Splattercombo, or put his foes into a nightmarish trance that inflicts numerous status ailments with Nightmare.
  • Chaos: Vincent's fourth and most powerful Limit Break, transforming him into the soul wrought of terra corrupt, Omega's squire to the lofty heavens, Chaos. This transformation was granted to him due to the numerous experiments preformed on his corpse by Professor Lucrecia Crescent, in her attempt to not only resurrect Vincent but also further her thesis on Chaos and Omega. As the embodiment of chaos itself, Chaos is said to quell impurity and bring about destruction and death. It can utilize energy beams to attack with, such as the beams it unleashes with Chaos Saber. It's ultimate attack, Satam Slam, summons a skull from beneath the earth that consumes the opponent and has the chance to inflict instant death.

Other

Weaknesses: Without the Protomateria helping Vincent control Chaos, his mental state becomes extremely unstable.
