I recognize you. But I'm not afraid of you. Not anymore.
~ Puppet to Afton
Seeing you powerless is like music to me.
~ Puppet
One more thing - don't forget the music box. I'll be honest, I never liked that puppet thing. It was always...thinking, and it can go anywhere...I don't think a Freddy mask will fool it, so just don't forget the music box.

SAVE THEM!
~ The Puppet
Do not let your assigned child reach the exit.
~ Security Puppet's duty

Shhhh... come spend eternity inside with me.
~ Lefty
My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. I'm sorry on that day, the day you were shut out and left to die, no one was there to lift you up into their arms the way you lifted others into yours. And then, what became of you. I should have known you wouldn't be content to disappear, not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now. It's time to rest; for you, and for those you have carried in your arms. This ends for all of us. End communication.
~ Henry's final words to Charlie

Background

The Puppet (also known as the Marionette) is an animatronic puppet, a major antagonist, and one of the toy animatronics of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, but later games show its heroic side. It possibly serves as the prize vendor of the newly refurbished Freddy Fazbear's Pizza of 1987, although it's implied that it was originally from Fredbear's Family Diner. The Puppet is haunted by William Afton's first victim, a little girl named Charlotte Emily.

General Information

Name: Charlotte Emily, The Puppet, Marionette, Lefty

Origin: Five Nights at Freddy's 2

Sex: None (For Animatronic). Female for Soul (The Puppet is Henry's daughter)

Age: Likely 3 upon death, suit is at least in their 50's (Similar to William Afton and Golden Freddy)

Classification: Animatronic puppet, Spirit

Species: Human (Formerly), Animatronic

Occupation: None

Status: Destroyed

Alignment: Chaotic Evil (The toy animatronics were tampered by someone, which causes them to be aggressive and attack anyone they see who isn't an animatronic)

Codex Statistics

Tier: 9-B

Attack Potency: Wall level (Should be comparable to the other animatronics, who can crush skulls, survive collapsing buildings, and are unharmed by a car crash that broke through a billboard. Can one-shot the security guard. They should scale to their novel counterparts due to being just as canon to the games, and are noted as alternate continuities. The animatronics in the novels can tear off bathroom doors, destroy other animatronics their size, break open hinged doors, casually snap people's necks, break open a ceiling, break through a slide, and punch holes through people)

Durability: Wall level (Comparable to other animatronics who can survive collapsing buildings and car crashes)

Striking Strength: Wall Class

Lifting Strength: Peak Human (In The Silver Eyes, it is stated that the animatronics are capable of lifting and tossing large arcade cabinets as if they were toys)

Travel Speed: Superhuman (Can disappear from sight in an instant from the flashlight being shone on and off it, along with not being able to be found on any of the cameras beyond very low sight afterimages in one room. Comparable to Freddy Fazbear, who can run across the right end of Fazbear's Pizza to the left end in seconds. Comparable to Mangle, who can climb from the lower vent to the ceiling seemingly in a second)

Combat Speed: Superhuman

Reaction Speed: Superhuman

Stamina: High (Seemingly able to stay active for at least 6 hours)

Range: Standard Melee Range, Tens of Meters with illusions

Intelligence: Gifted (The Puppet was able to avoid death in FNaF 2, brought back each dead child to life, managed to sneak her way to other locations without getting caught, and is hooked up to a criminal database)

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Afterimage Creation (The Puppet can create afterimages as she is let out), Life Manipulation & Metaphysics Manipulation (Soul Manipulation; The Puppet was the one who gave each dead child a new life within the animatronic suits), Immortality (Type 6; Animatronics are able to be dismantled, such as Mangle), Enhanced Senses (Can see and move around in the dark), Stealth Mastery (All animatronics are capable of hiding within the cameras, requiring the night guard to use the technology of the building to find them. Can quickly leave out of sight once a room goes dark. The Puppet was able to travel to the locations of FNaF 1 and FNaF 3 without ever getting caught), Inorganic Physiology (Type 2), Self-Sustenance (Types 1, 2, & 3), Invisibility (Can turn invisible via cloaking), Illusion Creation (Type 1; The animatronics at times can make the building change. The Puppet is the only toy animatronic to physically appear in FNaF 3, and her her presence can cause a phantom animatronic to appear. Thus she's possibly the reason they come to attack), Information Analysis (The toys have a facial recognition software to detect criminals), Passive Technological Manipulation (An animatronic's mere appearance causes the technology to flicker and turn off, all animatronics upon entering a room causes the camera to go static), Berserk Mode (The toy animatronics were stated to get more aggressive overtime), Possibly Flight (The Puppet seems to float when moving). Resistance to Electricity Manipulation (Every animatronic in Pizzeria Simulator can be shocked without much damage. Sister Location animatronics can take controlled shocks)
Sheer Will & Limited Fusionism (Like others in the verse, their sheer will of vengeance melded into the animatronic, making his body one with it. Even if their bodies are separate from the animatronics, they can retain a form of sorts that is incorporeal), Immortality (Types 7 & 8. The Crying Children are spirits that are running off of vengeance where they will only truly disappear after their birthday party is complete), Flight (As ghost, they naturally can fly), Undead Physiology, Incorporeality & Invisibility (As dead spirits they're naturally incorporeal, and turn invisible after William Afton's supposed death), Possession (Like others in the verse, their sheer will of vengeance melded into the animatronic, making his body one with it. Even if their bodies are separate from the animatronics, they can retain a form of sorts that is incorporeal), Astral Projection (Even if their bodies are separate from the animatronics, they can retain a form of sorts that is incorporeal), Time Travel (Should scale to Shadow Bonnie, who can travel back to the Crying Child's party and give them cake), Time Paradox Immunity (Grandfather Paradox; Unaffected by Shadow Bonnie going back in time and giving them cake as they still roam around in FNaF 1), Extrasensory Perception (Can see Shadow Freddy), Illusion Creation (The crying children can create hallucinations of their cries on walls)

Other

Standard Tactics:

Due to being within an animatronic, each animatronic has a movement cycle they go by, The Puppet is located in the Prize Corner and will only appear if the Music Box is left un-wound for too long.

Along with Chica, it can be seen in the hallway in CAM 08. Its appearance does affect gameplay, and if the player stares at the Puppet for too long the Phantom Puppet will attack. For the Phantom Puppet, not much can be seen about it, as only its head is shown. The Puppet lacks a body entirely and the back of its head which makes it partly empty. Although sometimes on CAM 08, the player can see the real Puppet, with the same design from the second game, real enough to see its reflection until it is actually revealed to be Phantom Puppet after lowering the Monitor down.

Keep his music box wound or he will come to get you! The global music box also works against him.
~ The Puppet's description in Ultimate Custom Night
Like in the second game, the Puppet resides in its music box, now located in the Kitchen. Along with it attacking if music box is left un-wound for too long.

Weaknesses: Puppet's programming forces them to stay within the box so long as the music is kept wound up. If it hits 6 AM, the animatronic no longer targets and resorts to its daytime functions, though the toys seem to have messed with having them attack Jeremy Fitzgerald during the day. The Puppet being flashed with bright light and immediately winding the music box will force it back into the prize box.
