Introduction
The purpose of the blog is the establish how big the size of Sunny's headspace (will be used to refer to the entire dream cosmology of Headspace, Black Space, and White Space for simplicity) is and why it is more than just a normal dream and fits the Dream World Standards. It should be noted that this blog contains MASSIVE SPOILERS for OMORI, so read at your own risk.
Size
Headspace is stated to be a universe multiple times and the entirety of it that Sunny manipulated was to cover up and seal the entirety of Black Space thus, they should scale in size. Black Space is also referred to as a another world from Headspace by Daddy Longlegs. Daddy Longlegs is reliable as he has cosmic knowledge about the entire creation of Headspace and Black Space. This is also confirmed by Branch Coral who says that Basil is not in this world while Omori is in Headspace and says that both Black Space is not a part of Headspace. Branch Coral is also able to provide a ton a backstory and has Cosmic knowledge about the dream worlds and The Dreamer. Unlike Black Space, White Space is undefined in size, but is regarded as separate from Headspace by Both Daddy Longlegs and Branch Coral. Instead it is a small casual looping area that Sunny was in before he made the door to Headspace and Black Space.
To sum up, Headspace all together is Multiversal Cell or 2-B in size.
This scales to no one physically. It only scales to Omori with his abilities as he can completely reset and manipulate it along with Sunny in his Headspace key as he can manipulate and shape it based on his imagination.
Why it is more than just a Dream
Point 1: Headspace was not created by Sunny, and existed since the beginning of time. It is stated to look different to everyone implying it is not something exclusive to Sunny. The reason that it is filled with things based on the Real World such as fictional characters like Captain Spaceboy is that Headspace is shaped by The Dreamer's imagination so it would make sense that the several things on Sunny's mind and memories will be there. Along with Mr. Outback, this is supported by other cosmic characters such as Daddy Longlegs who said Sunny created a door from White Space to Headspace instead of outright creating Headspace and Coral Branch stating that 3 great creatures existed prior to it's creation. This is all also supported by Headspace still existing even when he is awake as events can occur even when Sunny is not asleep which should not be possible if it was a normal dream. This is shown with how Aubrey, Kel, and Hero all signed contracts for Mr. Jawsum offscreen and even working for him competently despite their last showing in the dream being falling down a void in Sweetheart's castle.
Point 2: Something haunts Sunny in both the Real World and Headspace multiple times throughout the whole game. Something is the very literal manifestation of Sunny and Basils trauma, guilt and fear that was created from their trauma of the sight of the Mari's corpse's eye staring back at them through her disheveled hair and her death that they also covered up as a suicide. It then proceeded to haunt them for the next 4 years until they finally overcame it and revealed the truth. If they don't overcome it, Something follows Sunny and likely haunts him for the rest of his life as he moves away along with it making Basil commit suicide. Blackspace is where all of Sunny's trauma and guilt is hidden away and a showing of his unstable mental health. Something can be found in the pathway to it and within Blackspace's doors as well. Sunny's phobias of heights, spiders, and drowning were all caused and created by traumas as well, and Somethings final fight shows that the phobias Sunny mentally fights are just a part of it. It is also shown to be a very literal thing that exists as shown with Basil being able to directly see it along with it being in his own fight.
Point 3: Sunny's original avatar of Omori can break free from Sunny's control to become a separate entity, go against him, gain complete control over his mind and consciousness, and possess him to make Sunny kill himself so he does not have to live with the truth. Omori can even stab himself in White Space, and kill Sunny in the real world by doing so at the end of the game in the knife ending. In the Hikkiomori route, Stranger was even going to trap Sunny within Black Space forever due to him running away from the truth and it would have became the case if Omori had not saved him.
To conclude, Headspace is much more than just a dream in verse and fits the Dream World Standards.
Tier 1 Debunks
I've seen arguments for OMORI's cosmology go up to tier 1 with this scan and it has several issues that I will address here.
Claim 1: "His soul has transcended beyond space and time and has evolved past useless human emotions"
Refute: The issue with this is that it is a blatant Hyperbole and for people who haven't played the game here is why. As already shown by his name, the context of this line is a description of Captain Spaceboy (labeled Ex-Husband by Aubrey) after divorcing from his wife Sweetheart. Previously in the game, When Sweetheart was Captain Spaceboy's girlfriend, she broke up with him and he got so sick that he refused to do anything besides be sick in bed when prior, he used to travel with his crew of Space Pirates, capture planets and explore Headspace. Sweetheart at this point with divorce, is an extremely emotional subject to him as shown with the hole in his heart to represent how broken he feels. His fight constantly shows this with his dialogue and the game shows how much he can emotionally be affected by break ups. Now, he has isolated himself on the top of Snowglobe mountain and said that he feels himself becoming one with the ice and that his heart is frozen and he can no longer feel. After the fight, Captain Spaceboy also returns to the Space Pirates and he is never treated as a transcendent being in his frozen and broken sTo conclude, this statement is just an extremely hyperbolic statement to express how broken Captain Spaceboy felt from the divorce from Sweetheart and it is not meant to be taken literally.
Claim 2: "Due to Captain Spaceboy's divorce, his soul transcended space time and put him in an area outside of its space and time and outside of the universe, making this plane transcendent of Headspace. This is supported by Snowglobe mountain not normally being accessible."
Refute: Ignoring that the statement is a hyperbole for the reasons presented above, space and time does not make you transcendent of it and the universe. Secondly, saying Snowglobe Mountain is an area outside of space and time and separate from Headspace is literally just wrong. Pluto, who runs a intergalactic travel system around Headspace has a station set up there and can travel from and back from there like any other location. The Space Pirates were also able to travel there normally by spaceship. Lastly, even the official artbook just shows and lists Snowglobe Mountain as just another location within Headspace. To conclude, all this debunks that Snowglobe Mountain is outside of space time and is transcendent of it and the universe, separating itself from Headspace itself.
Claim 3: "Headspace transcends Black Space because its referred to as below it"
Refute: This is easily debunkable because being below or above something doesn't make it a lower transcendence. The context of it being below Headspace is just that it was sealed away by it. Black Space used to be another world on the same level of Headspace too, it was just fully separated, inaccessible and put below it after it was sealed away. They are just 2 universes that exist within the Cosmology and nothing suggests Headspace is a universe transcendent above the other universe of Black Space.
Claim 4: "Tier 1 and 7-D Sunny for transcending Headspaces Cosmology which consists of 4-d Black Space, 5-D Headspace for Transcending it, and 6-D Snowglobe Mountain for being outside of space and time all due to existing in the real world"
Refute: The Headspace and Snowglobe mountain points have been debunked above so I'm just gonna skip those. Firstly, the real world is not transcendent of Headspace, this is easily debunkable because of how Headspace entities such as Stranger was able to affect him and trap him within Black Space so Sunny can't escape his sleeping and that Omori can possess and take control over his mind. Secondly, he is very obviously not even near tier 1 narratively, He is a depressed and skinny shut in due to being depressed over Mari's death and he able to kill himself from falling and a kitchen knife. Not to mention, Aubrey's gang freaked out after she was attacked once with a knife
Conclusion: Using the Space Ex-Husband Scan and the rest of the claims I've heard for any form of scaling just fully ignores a ton of context and is strait up wrong.
(Will be adding scans for everything including claims very soon)
