Dimensionless Attacks

The Empress of Time uses "Atemporal Wound" which inflicts a status ailment that stays on the party member permanently, versus status ailments usually lasting 3 turns in Cris Tales.

Background

Dimensionless Attacks are offensive abilities that operate outside the conventional limitations of space and time. These attacks are aspatial (not bound by space) and/or atemporal (not bound by time), bypassing normal physical laws and causing effects that cannot be countered through typical means. Dimensionless attacks are unique in that they ignore traditional concepts like durability, speed, and range, allowing the user to harm targets regardless of their defenses or distance.

Due to their nature, dimensionless attacks can be difficult to resist or defend against. They can also inflict damage that prevents the target from healing or regenerating, as those processes are typically bound to time and space. This ability can be particularly dangerous, as it operates outside the normal framework of the universe, rendering it highly unpredictable.

Possible Applications

• Bypassing Range: These attacks are not restricted by distance, enabling the user to strike targets regardless of how far away they are.
• Bypassing Speed: As atemporal attacks ignore time, they cannot be dodged based on the speed of the target, rendering them effectively unavoidable.
• Nullification: These attacks often bypass the target's durability, as they are not subject to physical laws such as momentum or energy conservation.
• Permanent Damage: Dimensionless attacks may cause damage that cannot be healed or regenerated, as such processes depend on the passage of time.
• Time Manipulation: The user may be able to directly alter the flow of events in a target’s timeline, rendering past, present, and future irrelevant.

Potential Types

• Atemporal Attacks: Attacks that bypass time, making them immune to speed and temporal defenses.
• Aspatial Attacks: Attacks that bypass space, allowing the user to strike targets regardless of physical location.
• Combined Aspatial and Atemporal Attacks: Attacks that ignore both space and time, giving the user the most powerful form of dimensionless offense.

Possible Limitations

• No Healing: While dimensionless attacks prevent healing, they may also be ineffective against entities who are not affected by normal physical damage.
• Mental or Conceptual Limitations: Some attacks may only affect physical or spatial dimensions, while others may be limited to specific metaphysical or conceptual targets.

• Empress of Time (Cris Tales): Empress of Time uses an attack known as "Atemporal Wound", which inflicts wound outside of time and puts a status ailment that stays on the party member permanently.

Notes

• The ability can only be granted to those where it is directly noted the attacks themselves are atemporal/aspatial, this is due to some verses having a person that can be atemporal/aspatial though their attacks and abilities are still under space and time.
• Characters lacking dimensionality would get this ability by default.
