Background

A limiter is a theoretical barrier that restricts the physical growth of a being. Dr. Genus first coined the term to explain how Saitama obtained his strength. According to his theory, God placed a growth limitation on every being to prevent them from losing purpose. No matter how much one grows, they will eventually hit this upper limit where there is no potential to develop further strength. However, it is possible for an individual to remove their limiter, which results in the development of immeasurable strength.

Uses

• Immortality: Type 6. Characters like Garou were able to survive being ripped apart and a hole in his chest.

• Resurrection: To experience explosive growth, one must be on the brink of death and die than resurrect.

• Statistics Amplification: Can progressively increase their stats overtime.

• Adaptation & Adaptation: Garou has shown to increase himself to blitzing and overpowering Darkshine, who previously managed to break his entire ribcage, by breaking his limiter.

• Indomitable Will: One that breaks their limiter needs to have an extreme will to continue.

Resistances

• BFR: Child Emperor could break out of Phoenix Space via sheer willpower.

• Mind Manipulation & Absorption: Psykos resisted Orochi absorbing them into them and taking over their mind through sheer will.

• Movement Negation: Gyro Gyro was unable to negate Garou’s movements through sheer will.

• Poison Manipulation: Can resist poisons through sheer will.

• Sleep Manipulation: Metal Bat was able to resist sleep gas out of sheer will.

• Empathic Manipulation: Having a strong will can have one resist Monster Princess Do-S’ whip that makes people fall in love with her and listen to any of her orders.

• Death Manipulation: One must repeatedly conquer death in order to break their limits.

• Power Nullification: As one breaks the limit placed on them.

• Pain: As they constantly need to put constant pressure on both their body and mind.
