Breath Attack

Summary

Breath Attack is the ability to use your breath offensively. By exhaling, and usually enhancing the breath with the likes of flames, ice, poison, acid, etc, the user can create a spread-out attack in front of them to overwhelm their foe. Alternatively, it could be used to blow away foes akin to a huge gust of wind. The concept is associated with many dragons of legend, however the ability is by no means exclusive to them, nor a trait all dragons hold by default.

Not to be confused with a similar, yet functionally different, ability in which techniques are formed from/near/in the mouth of the user, such as Chou Makouhou. These are just variations of techniques (such as shooting fireballs from your mouth being Fire Manipulation, shooting laser beams out your mouth is Energy Projection, etc). The difference can be drawn from that fact that those abilities emerge from the mouth, whilst weaponised breath would logically spawn from the lungs as opposed to the mouth.

Limitations

• Aim may be compromised in favour of a spread range.
• As the ability relies on the user’s breath, this may exhaust them.
• Tends to leave the user open from behind, and can only attack from the front.
• May require time to prepare.
