Background
Energy Manipulation is the ability to manipulate energy. This results in different capabilities, allowing the use of energy for various purposes, including attack, defense or performance enhancement. Energy Manipulation Includes manipulation of internal and external energies.
Applications
Energy Projection
Energy Projection is a subset of Energy Manipulation in which the user is able to emit concentrated bursts of energy, most frequently for offensive purposes. The power and flexibility of this ability varies between media, ranging from simple destructive blasts to far more complex usages. Normally the beams are powerfully concentrated blasts of energy that can cause great harm to an opponent hit by it. The beams can also have other abilities along with it, a common on being disentergration.

Chi Manipulation
Chi Manipulation is the ability to shape and manipulate the life energy that exists in all living things, referred to as Chi (also Ki or Qi depending the place). This energy is a pervades through all that is considered living and is often portrayed as being relative to martial arts aura. In different cases, the user can produce chi by channeling the energy through the physical body or by using the natural energy of the planet or cosmos.
Possible Uses
- Energy Manipulation/Projection: Often times, users are capable of channeling their chi in the form of energy projection or even being able to mold that energy in the way they desire
- Enhanced Senses (Chi Sensing): Users can often detect other entities through the emanation of their Ki, whether it be across long distances or for some, on a global to cosmic scale.
- Chi Masking: In addition, some works have Chi Manipulators who are able to suppress the Chi that naturally flows off their bodies to render themselves virtually invisible to Chi Sensing techniques.
- Chi Emission/Aura: Some users of Chi can emit their Chi in the form of auras or attacks. Some medias have shown one can do things like create Chi constructs, projectile Ki in an elemental manner or even emit it in a magical manner.
Possible Limitations
- Ki is usually in reserves, meaning that it can deplete if the user is not careful (Depends on media)
- One might need intense training and concentration to use their Chi, or even use it to it's max potential
- For those who can sense Chi, it is generally easier to sense those who have larger amounts. Thus becoming a more powerful Chi manipulator may also make you a bigger and easier to find target.

Cosmic Energy Manipulation
Cosmic Energy Manipulation is the ability to create, shape or manipulate cosmic energy that's drawn from stars, planets, galaxies, and even the entire universe. This ability can extend to allow them to manipulate other forms of energy within the universe as they are essentially controlling energy on a cosmic scale.
Dark Energy Manipulation
Dark Energy Manipulation is the ability to create, shape or manipulate dark energy, a hypothetical energy that permeates space, similar to dark matter, and makes up for about 68.3% of the universe. Users of this ability may even be able to control Black Holes as black holes are a potential source of dark energy. One would have universal control with Dark Energy Manipulation as dark energy is believed to be the reason for the universes constant expansion.
Kinetic Energy Manipulation
Kinetic Energy Manipulation is the ability to create, shape or manipulate kinetic energy, the energy possessed by any moving object. As kinetic energy is gained through the acceleration of an object, users of this ability can effectively control how strong or weak attacks are as they are controlling the acceleration and mass of the attack. This allows users to effectively increase the energy of their own attacks or decrease the energy of an enemies attack depending on their full control over it. They can also do things like transfer kinetic energy from one to another, increasing the power of their attacks more. This can even reach into Velocity Manipulation as they can control one's motion altogether, making them unable to move.
Positive Energy Manipulation
Positive Energy Manipulation is the ability to generate, control, or utilize energy associated with vitality, healing, purification, and divine essence. Often considered the counterpart of Negative Energy Manipulation, this power can heal wounds, cleanse corruption, and repel or destroy undead or demonic forces.
Possible Uses
- Healing and Restoration: Repairing physical or spiritual damage via energy bursts or contact.
- Purification: Removing curses, toxins, or evil influences through radiant cleansing.
- Undead Repulsion or Destruction: Driving away or outright eradicating undead with concentrated positive energy.
- Empowerment of Allies: Boosting strength, morale, or durability by imbuing them with life-affirming force.
Possible Limitations
- May have reduced or no effect on inorganic or artificial entities.
- Can be harmful to undead, demons, or negative-energy-based beings.
- Often requires a pure heart, divine training, or spiritual alignment in certain settings.
Negative Energy Manipulation
Negative Energy Manipulation is the ability to generate, control, and utilize negative energy — a form of energy typically associated with decay, death, entropy, or spiritual erosion. This power is often seen in supernatural or magical contexts and can manifest as a destructive force, a corruptive influence, or an anti-life energy that drains vitality, cancels healing, or bolsters undead or cursed beings.
Possible Uses
- Energy Drain: Sapping life force, stamina, or energy from others through negative energy contact.
- Corruption Inducement: Causing degradation or moral/spiritual corruption via prolonged exposure.
- Healing Negation: Cancelling or reversing regenerative abilities or healing energies.
- Undead Empowerment: Providing power boosts or sustaining undead entities with ambient negative energy.
Possible Limitations
- May not affect targets without life force, souls, or biological systems.
- Could backfire or weaken the user if misused or improperly channeled.
- Often limited to certain environments (e.g., darkness, cursed lands) in some media.
