- Surface Scaling (SCP-1529 has demonstrated an ability to climb or descend sections of the mountain's face believed impassable to conventional mountaineers, and has never been observed to fall or lose its grip)
- Longevity (SCP-1529 has been active since at least 1924, making it have an age span far beyond a standard humans)
- Self-Sustenance (Nutritional & Restful; SCP-1529 can remain inactive for eight months straight)
- Enhanced Senses & Clairvoyance (Agent ██████ in the permanent facility in China, engaged in telescope surveillance of SCP-1529 while it was active near the summit of the mountain, it was reported that SCP-1529 while facing the direction the base, was looking directly in the direction of telescope. SCP-1529 had begun descending the mountain in the direction of the permanent facility)
- Regeneration (At least High-Mid Overtime; SCP-1529 regenerated back two days after being eaten by SCP-682)
- Mind Manipulation (Once SCP-1529 is within eyesight of a traveler it will attempt to gain his/her attention and cause the traveler to make eye contact with it, which induces a hypnotic effect in the victim. The victim finds it very difficult to break eye contact with SCP-1529 and will begin to feel very warm and comfortable, and enticed to sit down and relax. Surveillance of SCP-1529 through a telescope will still have its effects work on the person as long as they're directly staring at them)
- Temperature Manipulation (Once the climber has stopped moving, SCP-1529 will close range with the climber, death from hypothermia appears to occur within 1-2 hours of making eye contact with SCP-1529, much more quickly than is typical for climbers stuck near the summit. ██████ surveying SCP-1529 through a telescope had been found to have a core body temperature of 27°C and signs of frostbite in the fingers and toes, despite having remained indoors at a room temperature of 24 °C for the duration of the encounter)
- Corrosion Manipulation (After death, SCP-1529's victims experience an extremely accelerated state of decay, with the bodies becoming rotted and mummified in levels comparable to bodies that have lain exposed on the mountain for several decades)

- Hypontic Eyes: Looking directly into SCP-1529's eyes puts one into a hypontic state where they feel very wamr and comfortably, enticed to sit down and relax. Coming into eye contact will also eventually lower the body temperature of the victim giving them hypothermia and frostbite.
