Forum - Pride of War: Jiren vs. Kratos

Kratos has the multiple different elemental attacks that can overwhelm Jiren.

Jiren likes conserving his energy and using it in short bursts which will be an issue due to Kratos' long reach with his blades of chaos and his magical abilities.

Kratos is also eternally lucky according to Mimir which will mess with Jiren's chances of winning.

Overall giving this to Kratos.

Honestly, what is Jiren's win condition here? I don't see much he can do, because even if he defeats or kills Kratos, the "Save and Load" mechanic would save him. Nor can I see Kratos's luck being an obstacle Jiren is stuck on and unable to overcome—considering Kratos's rapid evolution and adaptation abilities, I honestly can't think of a win condition for Jiren in this scenario.

GoW Ascension Kratos from what I remember does not have save and load as that's before he became an envoy of the gods.

Other then that, yeah idk.«

"Temporal Immortality (Kratos is gifted a glowing ray of light from the gods allowing him to save his progress)"

This is in his first abilities tabber, but even if we ignore “Save and Load” as I said Jiren can't beat Kratos's luck and has no wincon, so it would be a Kratos stomp because Jiren has nothing to win.

Yeah that'll need to be fixed since that's while he's employed with the gods, Ascension is him dealing with the backlash of betraying Areas so the gods aren't helping him yet.
