Boros Collapsing Star, Roaring Cannon Restricted

vs.

Frieza

Scenario: Finding out about the Earth of The Rise of The King, both Boros and Frieza rush over to it, hearing about the huge amount of wealth which exist on it and falsely believing in their ability to conquer it. In the meantime, the two run into one another, and let themselves go into a combat scenario. That who survives is going to get the chance to ~~die~~ try and take over the planet.

Who will come out on top?

Boros vs Frieza

I'm assuming it's supposed to be metoric burst based off the picture.

In this state Boros is not playing around and doing everything in his power to kill his opponent, though kicking Frieza to the moon won't do much as Frieza can naturally survive the vacuums of space, him playing around will cause an issue over the course of the fight and due to Frieza's cockiness he'll likely think he can simply catch and stop Collapsing Star, Roaring Cannon, much like he tried to do with the spirit bomb and with Toppo's hakai.

While Frieza could opt to destroy the planet, I think Boros would stop him before he can do so. It's shown also you can stop this by catching his blast as characters comparable or superior to him can catch the initial blast and even if Frieza detonates it, you can still move out of the way before it detonates.

Boros also has regeneration so many of Frieza's attacks he would be able to come back from.

Giving this to Boros.

Frieza is still holding back at this point, regardless of how powerful his opponent may be. Even so, I think he has the overall advantage due to his extensive combat experience against far more seasoned opponents, as well as his repeated encounters with enemies who possess powerful regeneration.

On top of that, Meteoric Burst is a significant drawback for Boros. While it grants him an enormous increase in power, it also places an immense strain on his body and drastically reduces the amount of time he can maintain the form. In contrast, Frieza has already mastered his Golden Frieza transformation, allowing him to fight at full efficiency without suffering from the same level of stamina issues.

To be fair, I also think that a sufficiently charged Ki Blast from Frieza could realistically overpower or counter Boros' Meteoric Burst head-on. Taking all of this into account, I'd give the victory to Frieza with high difficulty.

In terms of combat experience, Frieza himself is noted he doesn't possess any actual martial arts and his "combat experience" is realistically just he fought other characters and used his strength to win, he doesn't actually learn what the opponent can do or how to counter it in the future. Toppo is a great example of this, he's fought multiple hakai users yet he still got destroyed by a hakai user purely because they were stronger. We don't really count that as valid combat experience here as it'd be the equivalent of giving a body builder combat experience if they happened to get a hit off on someone.

Also in terms of combat advantage, this is technically ignoring that Boros has already been noted to defeat literally everyone in the universe, heavily being implied he never even needed to remove his limiter.

Also Frieza hasn't dealt with many opponents with regeneration, he's only ever fought namekians and their regenration is far from powerful, even being called out on that their regeneration actually greatly reduces their power. If anything, beings like Buu who possess powerful regeneration are the exact types of beings his father told him to stay away from. On top of this too, Frieza is historically shown to start crashing out and abandoning all battle strategy when he's losing.

Also charged ki blast require the opponent to let Frieza stand there and charge it, which Boros would not do in metoric burst state.

Realized also CSRC is restricted so removing that from the argument, but Frieza's fighting style is largely actually detrimental against someone who is not playing around, we've seen this with characters like Trunks. Along with this, his energy blast aren't restricted and those are noted to be heat attacks where he noted not even one's bones would remain and Frieza lacks substantial heat resistance.

I disagree with the claim that Frieza lacks combat experience. Setting aside the fact that he has consistently fought on equal footing against opponents with extensive hand-to-hand combat experience, he has also demonstrated technical knowledge in battle, such as exploiting pressure points. Frieza has even shown that he can predict where an opponent using Instant Transmission will reappear, firing his Death Beam with enough precision to injure them without directly striking their vital organs. This showcases a notable level of precision, battlefield awareness, and combat understanding.

Furthermore, I honestly think that Boros defeating every warrior in his universe is fairly weak evidence of superior fighting skill. The core of his character has always revolved around overwhelming physical power and destructive force rather than refined martial arts or technical combat expertise.

Lastly, I still believe Frieza retains a significant advantage due to the superior range provided by his ki-based attacks, allowing him to pressure and damage opponents from a safe distance. On top of that, Golden Frieza can sustain its peak performance for a considerably longer period than Meteoric Burst.

Firstmost, I never said Frieza lacks combat experience, I said his combat experience is not anything special to note, even if I was to steelman and assume the examples you gave were accurate, pressure points and predicting are common things you get from combat experience, so the same would apply to Boros who fought everoyne in the universe and never once lost. The more you learn to kill which both Boros and Frieza have, naturally the more you know vital spots to hit and predict how an opponent will usually react to you. It's why they note that someone who is a book-learned fighter is going to struggle against someone who has actual fight experience because they are used to how an opponent usually opens up and a general area of what parts of the body to hit to put them down.

Alright let's go over this: Frieza was not using pressure point strikes there, that's shooting his ki into his skulls, which is an ability shown pretty commonly in DB. This is done through him having superior strength and speed to them, this is not a show of combat skill. An actual example of a pressure point user is Granolah because he actually targets your vitals.

He directly notes here that he knows the person can use instant transmission which makes it easy to fight him, this is due to the fact that there's realistically only few things you can do with instant transmission, teleport behind the opponent or teleport into the air, especially for a tournament fight. This is not really predicting but moreso the equivalent of if I know how you always open in a fight with a punch then I can easily block it regardless of skill. Frieza is far stronger and faster then the Yardrat, we know this is the case too since Gohan is considered a battle tactian and he was being overpowered by the Yardrat. Gohan even outright notes the issue he's having is the Yardrat's speed with instant transmission he can't keep up with. Roshi even outright notes it's due to his speed. Thus Frieza was not predicting, he was faster then him, this is even shown in your own scan as he is blitzing the Yardrat. This is further proven with Dyspo, he is not able to predict where he appears at first while shooting him, he is able to find him cause his tail instinctively can grab someone attacking him from behind, issue also is that as soon as he does this, Dyspo just counters him by throwing him into a looney toons skit. The way Frieza had to deal with him was go Golden, aka increase his strength and speed. I already brought up the issue with pressure points, so this would not be precision, I don't really see much combat understanding, just what he always does, use superior strength and speed much like every DB villain.

If you want examples of Frieza's lack of battle awareness:

Not much more fights with him but to cap this all off, Frieza is entirely about strength and speed, they it a fully clear thing. He is not a smart battle tactian or combatant, if he was, Goku would not live in the Resurrection F fight, Goku himself outright admits if Frieza was smarter then he would've been done for but thanks to Frieza valuing just being stronger and faster above all else he could wait out his stamina. To argue he's a smart battle tactician goes against the narrative of the Resurrection F film and honestly the way his character works in general. He doesn't feel the need to have battle tactics or combat perception, he believes his strength and speed is more then enough to deal with things as shown with several fights. Hell as another perfect example, Frieza BARELY utilizes his telekinesis.

"Furthermore, I honestly think that Boros defeating every warrior in his universe is fairly weak evidence of superior fighting skill. The core of his character has always revolved around overwhelming physical power and destructive force rather than refined martial arts or technical combat expertise." >This actually exposes the point I was making, I made the Boros point for if you wanted to treat Frieza's combat experience as something notable then the same would have to be for Boros. Frieza does not used refined martial arts or combat expertise, he uses overwhelming physical power and destructive force. Frieza not being a martial artist is one of his biggest things about him as a villain.

Frieza doesn't snipe from a safe distance in character, I sent an example with the Vegeta fight, he will continue to shoot at his opponent even as they get closer to him, or he will go to straight up fight them. A perfect example of this is Broly. Broly is objectively stronger and overpowering him for a hour yet he goes for straight hand to hand tactics. So I don't think that advantage works here. He will sometimes use far distance shots... but Boros can do the same thing? His energy bullets he can casually shoot out like so. On top of this, I actually don't know how true it is to say Metoric Burst is to Golden Frieza after re-looking, Boros just notes it places a large burden on the body like anerobic exercise. Anaerobic exercise is just... exercising. So he's saying that his body is sore hence the burden on the body. We already see Frieza can fall out of Golden through being overwhelmed. So him actually sustaining it's peak performance for longer then Meteoric Burst? That's only if he takes no damage which would not be true at all due to how Boros attacks.

Now let's talk about Boros' advantages as I think it's weird many of them are being ignored.

None of these for some reason were really tackled against, especially my point of the heat attacks.

Now let me look over Frieza's wincons:

  • Superior Range: While technically true, Frieza does not use his range for things like this. He will use ranged attacks if he's already a distance away from the opponent, but as I showed with the Broly example he will also just go in for straight punches and kicks even if the opponent is overwhelming him. He's also shown the minute he starts losing he starts crashing out and just not using his range correctly such as seeing Vegeta casually deflect ki attacks yet still shooting at him while Vegeta is just casually walking closer and he doesn't move at all.
  • Sustains Golden Form Longer: Steelmannig and assuming this point is true sa we don't have an outright confirmation for how long Boros could maintain meteoric burst, Golden Form being sustained longer is ignoring that's not the case if he is at all overpowered or takes too much damage, which with how Frieza fights, his cockiness allows him to get hit by attacks.
  • Frieza could destroy the planet: I don't think you brought this up but I'm going to note this for this and all future Frieza matches, if he destroys the planet, his body cannot tank it, he can just survive in the vacuum of space. Seeing as we already see Boros can take hits from characters FAAARRRRR above his AP, and regenerate back, destroying the planet would just have Boros regenerate back while Frieza's in pieces flying across space which would be a loss for him. It's also very likely for him to employ this combat strategy since Frieza always does this as a crash out result when he's getting overpowered.

So the reasons I believe Boros takes this:

  • Frieza has no real answer to his regeneration in a meaningful time before Boros either kills him or Frieza RQs and tries to blow up the planet.
  • Frieza's combat experience means really nothing here when he's dealing with an opponent in the same strength and speed scale as him.
  • Boros' energy blasts are hot enough to make it where one's skeleton wouldn't remain which that would kill Frieza.

From what I'm reading and seeing now, I actually suppose there are good points as to why Boros would win because his wins are more likely than Frieza's.

Posted by Eldrazi Kido160 on 25 July 2026 at 17:56.

Boros is Borosversal and Boros's all over the place.

alright, for a serious answer. Frieza is an ARROGANT bastard who's not going to take the fight seriously at first and this got him caught on multiple occasions. Frieza will range spam which is...annoying. Frieza would probably do better in a match that lasts longer which would let his arrogance become something more serious but his ass is being sent to the moon. Boros gets a point from me!
