Fire Force (created by Ohkubo in 2015) is a series where the collective unconciousness of humanity is used as the drive for the entire story, all the conflicts on it are related to this. Now usually, the Collective Unconciousness will just give you Collective Unconciousness manipulation, but in Fire Force, the very ideas of humanity can alter reality (but this is under the specifics that the world of ideas has to merge with the world for that to happen). This perception can turn the moon into a cartoon style moon (Soul Eater moon), c The very collective thoughts of people can change the stars into 5 pointed stars and even change the laws of physics of the universe. It is obvious that Ohkubo uses the collective unconciousness to represent all of humanities ideas across it's history, but it is also obvious this just doesn't alter the perceptions of people, it is the opposite, the perceptions of humanity alter reality. Okay so is this a combination of both?

From what you're describing, this seems to all fit the Collective Unconscious Manipulation applications.

  • Collective Memory Erasure: Remove or suppress shared concepts or memories from a population."

It's effectively affecting humanity's observation which affects reality by effect, much akin to the observer effect.

Also the collective unconscious having the perceptions of humanity alter reality is a pretty common thing (Persona 5). So yeah it would be a combination of both.
