The great text wall of China

No explicit tiershit yields here because nobody even agrees on what tier 1 means anymore.

The Planet

The Earth, sometimes referred to as simply “The Planet,” is a life-supporting rocky planet where most of the series takes place. Ilias and Alipheese, the embodiments of light and darkness, settled on it many millions of years ago and changed the course of evolution with their influence.

“Planet” and “universe” or “timeline” are interchangeable meanings for the term “world” in these games, to the point where they’re even directly conflated with each other in some situations. Generally though, the term Parallel World reliably refers to a timeline, so you can safely consider “World” to be closer to the universal scale in that context.

Continents

It’s a general rule that the more powerful a monster is, the more likely it is to live up north.

Ilias continent has a heavy religious presence and a relatively thin monster population. Despite its human-dominant population, it has only one large city in Iliasburg. The various other settlements are small villages that get by on trade with each other and Sentora, Iliasburg existing as the nexus of it.

Sentora continent is basically a supercontinent that single-handedly accounts for over two-thirds the total land area on the planet. All four of the great human kingdoms reside there, with each one being named after the royal family that rules it. Close to Ilias continent and furthest south of the four is San Ilia, the capital of the faith of Ilias. West of there is Sabasa, which is situated in a large desert. Grand Noah, notable for the sizable monster population of its civilized areas, occupies the northeast. The center-north of the continent is occupied by Grangold, the world leader in technological innovation.

Hellgondo is the furthest north of the landmasses, where the strongest of the extant monsters live. Most of the continent is desolate and hostile to life thanks to Ilias' attempts to destroy it. It had one human city, Remina, that tends to get destroyed before the events of the game by various circumstances depending on the continuity. It was home to the fifth royal bloodline, which was mostly wiped out with the city's destruction. East of Remina is the Sealed Sinner's Prison, also known as the Prison of the Condemned, which is chiefly known for having Heinrich's soul bound there. The Monster Lord's Castle sits in Hellgondo's northwest corner as the furthest-north point of civilization.

The Great Disaster fragmented Sentora into three smaller landmasses; Grangold and Grand Noah now sit on their own landmasses, while San Ilia and Sabasa share one.

The most notable changes to the world's geography brought by the Great Disaster were the seven pits, colloquially known as Tartarus. The appearance of these pits rewrote the geography of the planet. Most notably, the central Tartarus sank a good chunk of Sentora upon its appearance.

Heaven

An incorporeal miniature universe formed from binding matter together with holy energy, created by Ilias personally to be her dwelling and base of operations. Heaven is situated within the upper atmosphere of the planet, but isn’t reachable just by physically flying up there due to its physiology: not just from being made of intangible light particles, but from existing as a pocket dimension as well[1]. Entry is restricted to a handful of methods, the most straightforward being the gate down at the navel of the world. Ilias’ soul return network can also carry souls of deceased intelligent beings into heaven, where they can be given new lives and transferred back to the surface world for reincarnation.

Heaven can also be accessed through spacetime interference, such as just boring a hole through it and the space it occupies itself. When the central Tartarus appeared, it tore spacetime apart at heaven's location. The structure then fell towards the planet and into the west ocean, becoming the snow continent.

The Wider Universe

Everything in outer space and the metaphysical workings underlying it, including space and time. The planet, its solar system and even its galaxy are just one of countless.

Elements

The elements are the fundamental forces and substances that comprise all things.

The elements aren't just the elements in their literal, physical forms but exist as waves and flows that permeate the cosmos and maintain order within it[2]. To synchronize yourself with these free-flowing forces is to be synchronized with cosmic harmony itself[3].

The elements also encompass forces that share their properties, such as how "water" is linked to everything that can "flow."[4][3] Earth is also said to be more profound and wide in its scope than merely the earth's crust and tectonic movement.[4]

In the original history, there were only four mentioned elements: Wind, Earth, Fire, Water. With Paradox, Ice and Lightning were added to the list, making six.

These six elements are divided into two groups[5]: the "magical" elements, which form the basis of sorcery[6], and the "natural" elements, which form the basis of the natural world[7][8].

When two or more elements are combined, the energy increase is not additive, but logarithmic. The burst is especially notable if the two elements have opposing characteristics.

Light and Dark

The most fundamental of all the elements and those which comprise the universe itself[9]. The splitting of light and darkness led to the birth of all other things in a chain reaction[10]. All other dichotomies in the universe are influenced by theirs. Light and Darkness permeate everything, including the fabric of spacetime.

Light, also called holy energy or holy mana, is half of the universe's original, most primal form. It exists and permeates the universe itself as both waves and particles. It is associated with the immaterial and metaphysical in contrast with the power of darkness. Light authorities time, the mind and soul, being a fundamental component of sentience itself[11][12][13]. Light is also heavily associated with creation and birth[14]. The Big Bang itself was a holy phenomenon, as evidenced by it being described as being comprised of "genesis energy" in reference to holy energy[15]. This attack is identical to the actual Big Bang aside from its scale.

Darkness, or dark mana, is the darker half of the universe; the “yin” within the universe’s Taiji. In contrast with light, it is heavily associated with the physical world and material processes. Darkness has dominion over space, the physical body (encompassing both matter and biology) and other elements, being able to manifest them from itself[16]. Darkness is able to freely manipulate the biologic of creatures, both for creative and destructive applications, such as nullifying regeneration by controlling cellular behavior. In contrast to light, darkness is generally identified with destruction[17]. The Big Crunch, represented as dualistically coexisting with the Big Bang in an endless cycle of cosmic death and rebirth, is a phenomenon associated with darkness[18][19][20][21].

Like the other elements, light and dark permeate all things in the universe in flows and waves. Magic itself is directly contingent on the presence of light and dark particles in the atmosphere.[22][18]

When light and dark particles combine, they mutually annihilate each other in a reaction analogous to what matter does when it meets antimatter[23][24]. In a certain sense, they can be thought of as the particles and antiparticles of the magical world. This fusion can also produce chaotic phenomena, which is elaborated on further down.

Over-exposure to these elements also destroys the physical body by gradually corroding it. Holy erosion is the better-documented version of this. As one's physical body is exposed to holy energy, it is gradually transmuted into an unknown stone-like compound, transforming the victim's physiology itself. This substance conducts lightning effectively and reacts explosively with darkness and other light particles, effectively weakening the afflicted against these elements. When the process is finished, the body becomes fully petrified and crumbles to dust, and the soul is left bare. Darkness' counterpart is called corruption, and it's basically the inverse of holy erosion. Unlike lightning, corruption reacts well with fire[25].

Galactic Element

Galactic is a rare element associated with cosmic forces. Fundamentally, it is the remnants of energy from the pre-universe before Light and Darkness separated from each other[26].

Galactic energy permeates the universe in many different forms, much like the conventional elements. It's said to have existed at the moment of the universe's birth and permeates outer space in free flow alongside ionized radiation in the present day, identifying it with the cosmic microwave background[27][28]. It is also called quintessence in relation to the magical elements[29]. Taoism, which deals with the natural elements, associates it with Taiji and that which is latent within and maintains the movement of celestial bodies[30][31][32]. It can also be found within Black Holes[33][34].

Its most notable user is the Star Eater, who is described as a walking mass of it. She is explained in more detail elsewhere.

Chaotic Elements

Chaos Elements are forms of the standard elements that have been touched by chaos. They're linked to their lower-scale counterparts through shared abstract traits but also fully encompass and surpass them in scope. Most notably, they also possess chaotic properties. Despite lacking a non-chaotic counterpart, the above Galactic behaves as a chaos element[5].

Chaotic elements are absolutely unaffected by any form of resistance to the lower elements. They also possess auto-hit properties, making them unaffected by barriers and impossible to evade or defend against normally. These properties are common to galactic, holy and dark attacks as well[35]. In the case of certain holy skills, the attack simply spawns right on top of whoever the target is, completely ignoring the distance between them[36].

Spirits and Gods

Spirits are incorporeal beings that serve as the minds of a specific element.

A spirit is born from a substance, law, phenomenon or any other thing or process becoming complex through entanglement with other things. After becoming sufficiently complex, the phenomenon develops a sense of self and comes to life. anything can come to life if it's exposed to randomness for long enough. Life as we know it was born from molecules interacting within the primordial soup in much the same way: millions of years of compounds hitting each other in a pool until something that could replicate itself came about[37].

A spirit exists as the mind of its force itself and therefore has no corporeal body. It interacts with the physical world through possessing a sufficiently powerful and willing medium, but can still return to spirit form and reside within another contractor without losing their host.

Gods are much the same as spirits, aside from their power, abilities and general scale of their existence. A spirit needs a host to interact with the physical world, while a god can shape a body from itself. The time scales it takes to create a God is also greater than that for a spirit by multiple orders of magnitude.

Ilias, the self-proclaimed Goddess of Creation, is the embodiment of light.

As its god, holy energy's properties and compatibilities are Ilias' own. She was able to build a global soul processing factory purely out of holy energy that would automatically collect the souls of the deceased and draw them into heaven, where they would be sent back down from in a reincarnated form later. She is also able to catch and manipulate individual souls and manually move them wherever she feels like. Notably, she cuts the souls of grave sinners and repeat offenders off from the cycle of reincarnation by sealing them in stone formations.

Ilias also frequently claims she can destroy souls outright. Longinus, a weapon created from a chunk of her own power, is capable of exactly that[38][39].

Alipheese I, referred to as the Dark Goddess by subordinates and enemies alike, is the god of darkness.

Alipheese's physical strength is superior to Ilias', but her range of special abilities is inferior. Nevertheless, Ilias herself is envious of Alipheese's power over biology and genetics, which lets her freely create new life whenever she likes[40]. She created the ancestors of all monsters by molding the genomes of life already present on earth and infusing it with darkness. As a result, all monsters contain dark particles within their cells, and the latent potential to utilize it.

The Multiverse

The sum of all parallel iterations of the universe, which diverge from each other according to the rules of MWI.

Parallel worlds are generally equal in scale to each other, as they all represent alternative evolutions of the universe. A neighboring parallel world is imperceptible for those without the cosmic awareness granted by contact with chaotic phenomena. At this scale, parallel worlds behave as cells or particles relative to each other.

Touching Chaos

Light and dark allow you to control time and space respectively. Reuniting them within you, therefore, allows you to surpass the confines of either.

Even through Tartarus, perception of parallel worlds is beyond the scope of standard entities. Only those affected by chaos in some way are able to perceive and cross the boundary between parallel worlds[41].

Tartarus and Cross-World Contact

Tartarus refers to seven holes in the world created during the great disaster 30 years ago. They aren't mere pits, but tears in the fabric of space and time. At the bottom of Tartarus, spacetime itself is frayed, and the holy and dark energies that leak from the seams mutate surrounding organisms.

Tartarus pierces the "partition wall" between parallel worlds itself, forming a tunnel between the singularity world and a certain parallel world.

Great Disaster

How Many Are There?

There are infinitely many parallel worlds[42][43][44][45]. “Infinite” parallel worlds are born from “any given point” and the wave function does not collapse[46]. Instead, the universe fractures into information sequences that each represent a parallel world[47][48]. This is an extremely explicit description of decoherence as it works in Everettian quantum mechanics, or the Many-Worlds Interpretation, where every possible state of any particular particle at a given moment can represent its own parallel world.

The laws of physics are explicitly relativistic, with space-time directly described as a continuum[21][47][49].

Within a continuum, which is inherently equal in cardinality to the real number line, lengths of time are infinitely divisible. A “point” would be infinitesimally long. For infinite parallel worlds to be born within an infinitesimal period, there must be an infinite number of possible evolutions in the quantum system of the universe, further supporting that every possible spatial coordinate of a particle produces its own universe.

As space and time are continuous here, the number of possible coordinates in any one spatial dimension encompasses all real numbers within the bounds of at least the area of the observable universe. These two sets are mutually injective and are therefore bijective according to the Cantor-Schroder-Bernstein Theorem. This means the cardinality of possible particle coordinates is of the same cardinality as the continuum, ℶ1.

On top of this, parallel worlds are also shown to be able to produce their own parallel worlds. Agaliarept's dream-scape is shown to connect to other parallel worlds, and these worlds include one with alternate versions of Raphaela and Sariela, whose world quite literally is an alternate iteration of Tenkai where Ilias perished, complete with an alternate Grangold Prison[50][51][52]. Once all the branches have branched into however many of their own worlds (in the very next infinitesimal instant), the total number of worlds can then be represented by the previous set of cardinality ℶ1, squared. In other words, a square matrix showing every possible two-figure sequence of coordinates.

In MWI, similar worlds (ones represented by identical states of the universal wave function) may overlap due to their similarity and “recohere,” becoming a single world again. In this game, this explicitly does not happen until the universe is manually updated by Chaos-Chan to cope with the existence of parallel worlds[53]. Since recoherence does not occur, no two similar worlds will overlap and recombine, even if they represent identical sequences of quantum states of the universal wave function.

By the time a second (or any other length of time representable as an integer) has passed, this compounding process of proliferation will have repeated once for every real number between the start and end of the period. Since the cardinality of the set of those numbers equals ℶ1 (in accordance with the qualities of the continuum and the completeness principle), this set's equivalent to the previous ℶ1 square is ℶ11. This is equal to the power set of the continuum (a set with cardinality ℶ1), or ℶ2, which completely surpasses both the continuum and all of Euclidean Space.

The Dark Phoenix, the embodiment of her own universe’s law of reincarnation, was also noted to exist in other parallel worlds by Koron[54][55]. This is interesting because no such law exists in MGQ’s main universe, implying the set of total parallel worlds encompasses those with alternate laws, but this will not factor into the calculation here.

Many-Worlds Interpretation necessitates infinite-dimensional space to work. These higher dimensions are directly mentioned in a few instances, and the way they're described clearly makes them out to be quantitatively superior to each other[56][57][58].

Chaotic Realms

Terminals of the Akashic Record that allow the Laws’ avatars to manage the multiverse. The information comprising everything that exists or happens within all parallel worlds is processed through chaotic realms and sorted into archives. This is also the highest point reachable by most chaotic beings.

Existence as Information

The essence of existence is information and probability, and everything in physical reality can be described by a binary sequence representing the sum of its states[47][59][60].

This, coupled with the nonstop computer analogies, paint the picture that these are more than just analogies; that the knowable universe is very literally analogous to the simulations of a colossal quantum computer.

Parallel Worlds also don’t exist fully independently of each other. Though their timelines are isolated (partitioned), they still all diverged from a point along a fluctuation of a wave[61]. In the context of a computer, they'd be partitions of spacetime dedicated to "simulating" a certain state of the universal wave function. This makes every parallel world, and being within them, an infinitesimal subdivision of primordial essence[62][63].

The various chaotic realms are places where all the information representing all things in the universe can be accessed, as though it were all stored as memory in the computational universe[64].

Partitions of the Terminal

Hades is where data concerning the lives of beings is organized by the first law’s avatar, the Grim Reaper. Non-chaotic beings cannot even perceive it, let alone enter. Luka’s companions within Hades, when he chooses to go there himself, are constructs of pure information from his memories up until the Chaos route, when they become tinged with chaos through entanglement with him. In paradox, Luka also goes to Hades on death and returns to the lower world from there.

Yomotsu Hirasaka is the pathway to Yomi, only accessible by beings strongly associated with death. This is where Sphinx’s kind and Izanami live, among others.

Yomi is a similar-yet-distinct realm from Hades that’s also managed by the first law’s avatar. It holds books of the living and dead for every single parallel world to have ever existed[65]. Essentially, what's compiled within Hades is then archived in Yomi[66]. When something dies, its name is erased by the first law from the book of the living and written in the book of the dead to let the universe know that they are, in fact, dead. Yomi has no physical form; what physical beings perceive is constructed from their own qualia[67]. The laws of life and death will reflexively instantly kill those who try to rewrite any of the books[68]. Put more simply, it’s impossible to interact with chaotic realms without being adversely affected by chaotic phenomena unless you’re a chaotic being yourself[69].

Access point for information on every event that has ever transpired, anywhere in the universe. The Place of Memory is where all events that have ever taken place within the worldline exist as data. Even events that were overwritten or erased by time manipulation remain recorded in the place of memory and can be accessed again through chaotic sensitivity[70]. Beings also exist within the place of memory long after they’re killed or erased, in the form of information stating that they existed[71][72][44]. The laws’ kernels are also accessible from here, and the laws can even format themselves from here[44][73].

Multiverse-Scale Chaotic Beings

Black Alice, after achieving holy-dark fusion in Remina and becoming a transcendent chaotic being.

This is the very same Black Alice that participated in Ilias' plot to wipe out life on earth and start it all over in the original history. Due to compounding circumstances (See Multiverse/Great Disaster), Black Alice was able to achieve holy-dark synthesis surpassing even Ilias of the original history, gaining multiversal cosmic awareness and the ability to travel between parallel worlds. Her power-hungry nature has been further warped by chaos into an urge to eventually destroy every parallel world.

Though she is a God-like being in control of chaos, she is not the true goddess of chaos.

Powerful entities from across timelines that obtained even greater strength through touching chaos. They are explained individually on the race blog (does not exist yet).

Luka from the worldline where he sided with the unification plan, and the protagonist of the Destroyer route.

He has fused with Alice and six different elemental spirits, allowing him to generate and combine eight different elements within his own body. For comparison, the quadruple giga represents a value of 10,000 due to the logarithmic scale of elemental fusion; the World Breaker is a living elemental fusion reactor with a value of 100 million. He is described as being able to return the world to nothing with a single breath.

Luka from the worldline where he sided with the ark plan, and the protagonist of the Judge route.

He has merged with Ilias, Micaela and Lucifina, as well as the residual aura of Tenkai's Ilias. He is a living instrument of the rapture, tasked with sending those of good moral character to Tenkai. He is able to create an infinite number of avatars and spread them around the earth to personally evaluate every single intelligent being at once. Once the qualifying ones are sorted out, the world is erased with the power of chaos, alongside all beings deemed too "evil" to enter the ark.

Hypertime

Extensions of time beyond a single parallel world’s time axis, including overarching multiversal time and beyond. This is the pinnacle of what any entity beneath Chaos itself can directly affect.

Multiversal Time

Every parallel world has its own time axis. The time axes of parallel worlds become isolated from each other at the merging point and never cross back over. The "present" in a given world is not necessarily common with the present of other worlds. The relative rate of time may also be different[74]. One can stop, rewind or skip forward in time within a parallel world and it generally only applies to that specific world[61][75].

The multiverse has its own sense of time that exists at a separate, more abstract scale than it does in a parallel world. Time at this scale is described as a wave whose features represent probability itself; the time axes of every parallel world would be nothing but the spawn of points along its oscillations[21]. Essentially, time at the cosmic scale is the universal wave function itself. Parallel worlds subject to chaotic phenomena even causally interact in ways similar to you'd expect to see at the quantum scale, such as when the singularity world and that of the third Tartarus became entangled at the moment of the latter's destruction, superimposing half of the administrator's tower onto its corresponding area in the former[76].

This multiversal timeline is called a “worldline.” The annihilation of all parallel worlds and their returning to chaos, a process measurable in “imaginary time,” is an example of an event that happens independently per worldline. The worldline is also the sum of all events accessible through the place of memory, which also has different iterations per multiverse. Chaotic realms encompass all parallel worlds, while the worldline contains chaotic realms alongside parallel worlds.

The Destroyer and Judge routes, which both end with all parallel worlds being destroyed, are both separate worldlines. The Chaos route is a new worldline created from their fusion[77][78].

When the two routes were merged into a single "united" worldline, events in both were superimposed onto each other. This notably caused Alice XV to become stuck in a superposition of "alive" and "dead," as she died at different times between the routes and the circumstances surrounding her death in one of them never came about.

Absolute Time

Worldlines, while existing in parallel to and partitioned from each other at the multiversal scale, are sequential at the “absolute” scale. This final and ultimate scale of time is utterly beyond relativity and imperceptible to anyone beneath true chaos.

This absolute scale of time is also what the Goddess of Chaos observes constantly, and what her Apostles exist within[79][21][80][81]. Before being "born," the goddess of chaos existed outside ordered existence as an unobservable, chaotic observer[21][80]. She waited and watched from that supracosmic vantage point until the time when she would be defined as an existing being within the physical universe: the chaos route[81][21]. This route follows, and is only possible because of, the failures of the Destroyer and Judge routes, which Chaos was also cognizant and waiting during. The Apostles of Chaos are shown to have “existed” before being "born" during the Chaos route, fully cognizant of the fact that they did not exist but would in due time[80].

The Five Laws

The laws are the most fundamental systems governing the mechanics of the physical universe. These laws are all components of the same universal software. They don’t exactly act separately from each other, even if their kernels are separate.

The First Law manages souls, records the information associated with them and ensures the cycle of life and death proceeds smoothly.

The Second Law manages the universe’s memory. It is essentially a deep-clean function to keep the universe’s information from overflowing its bounds. Since the subdivision of the universe into parallel worlds is the primary issue at the moment, the second law’s avatar is dedicating herself to erasing them, though she can’t keep up.

The Third Law is the search and copy/paste functions. It allows those with administrator functions to more easily find and manipulate information from within the universe or the records.

The Fourth and Fifth Laws are the ultimate lines of defense against bugs and viruses. It can even be said that the law of apoptosis is itself subordinate to them.

Just like elements develop minds after enough exposure to other systems, the mechanisms of the universal machine can too.

The Apostles of Chaos differ from the laws' avatars in that they are definite, physical beings that were handcrafted by Chaos after it developed a will. Due to their close connection to chaos, their thoughts are dominated by violence. Despite being highly egotistical, they will absolutely obey any order given to them by the Goddess of Chaos. They basically behave as extensions of her will in themselves.

Archetypes and Akasha

The highest form of order in existence. It is completely beyond all forms of physical existence and is therefore not a “location,” but an archive that exists as pure information. Anything that has ever existed or happened within any iteration of the universe exists and has always existed within Akasha as data. This includes the archetypes, forms, and idealisms that everything in the physical world partakes in; even the five Laws’ avatars are no exception.

The Akashic Records are the sum of all information that has ever existed or will exist, including the archetypal forms of deities and concepts that influence every iteration of the cosmos. Both Sariela and the Grim Reaper owe their physical characteristics to the archetype of death.

Idea Lukas is said to be the concept and the ideal of the hero embodied as a being, but this isn’t literally true. By downloading data from the records, the mindless metamo-metamo found its sense of self within the ideal of the hero. It is now just acting out the motions of being a hero.

The only beings that may exist directly within the records are the laws’ kernels. The laws, in their most fundamental forms, are basically root-level system files. Their sentient avatars, such as Sonya for the fourth law, are dreams in comparison.

Chaos

The void beyond all extensions of existence, and the disorder from which the universe eventually comes about and returns to.

What is Chaos?

Chaos is that which comprises all things[82][83][84]. Not solely as a substance, or a concept, or even as information itself. Chaos exists outside the bounds of the universe but is also the foundation of any and all forms of order[21][85].

Chaos is the nonexistence that predates all of existence[86]. The gaps between the universal cycle of death and rebirth are all pure chaos[21]. Chaos exists anywhere there is a lack of order; that is to say it exists absolutely everywhere. Order itself, which manifests as information and then the universe, is a short-lived but recurring dream within the depths of Chaos[81][83].

Chaos is also the process by which things are differentiated from other things. Chaos is the first cause, ultimate effect and sole agent of all lesser causes or effects between them.

Chaos is, to put it simply, everything[83][84]. It is also nothing[86]. The distinction between “something” and “nothing” is arbitrary and pointless from chaos’ perspective. Chaos is infinite and eternal because it has no “lifespan;” it encompasses both the beginning and the end[21]. It is identified with God and named the "Alpha and Omega" several times[44][87]. Its full scope is indescribable in terms aside from itself[88]. To say that “Chaos is spacetime” is an oversimplification. It’s more that spacetime, like anything else, is a subdivision of chaos, and any theory dedicated to understanding the world is an incomplete understanding of the behaviors of chaos[21].

Gods of Chaos

Chaos has two gods: the Father of Chaos and his daughter, the Goddess of Chaos.

At the beginning of the chaos route, the goddess of chaos was conceived and sent back in time to the birth of the universe so that she may be born in the present and reasoned with. Thanks to this, the goddess of chaos existed in an uncertain state long before she was actually conceived. Luka, who was destined to eventually conceive her, retroactively became the Father of Chaos[89]. The goddess' existence necessitates a father to conceive her, and the father's existence necessitates a daughter as proof of his godhood. Therefore, the two gods are co-eternal through a paradox.

The conflict between the father and the goddess is described as all of existence having an identity crisis that ends in the complete destruction of the universe[90]. The two gods are completely equal and completely unkillable even by each other, though their individual specializations do differ a bit[91].

The Father of Chaos is Luka's primordial form, the sum of his infinite subdivisions and the end his cosmic destiny.

Chaos is essentially God, an eternal source that can only be begotten by itself[82]. The Goddess of Chaos' eyes see everything in the universe at the absolute scale: all of time and all of space, as though all worldlines formed a closed loop[21]. Since Luka was the father of the Goddess of Chaos, an eternal being that exists beyond the scope of a lifespan, history was retroactively changed all the way back to the birth of the universe so that Luka would be co-eternal with Chaos, as another god of chaos.

Like anything else, Luka's many iterations across worldlines or parallel worlds are all subdivisions of chaos[63][62][44][82]. Chaos, as Luka, is the Father of Chaos. This encompasses the Judge and the World Breaker as well; since they're divided parts of the Father, they were necessary to have been born to eventually allow Luka to return to being the Father.

The Goddess of Chaos is Luka's daughter, conceived so that the threat of the destruction of parallel worlds could be resolved after multiple plans across worldlines ended in failure. As chaotic erosion, a force of nature, was the source of the problem, the solution was to create a god of chaos to create a responsible party and directly deal with them. They sent her back in time so that she could be born in their present time, which caused her to exist in a chaotic uncertain state outside the universe.

Due to the fact that she was born to be a scapegoat, Chaos nursed a grudge against both the world and her father up until she emerged from her womb. Due to being the mind of all things and non-things, she is able to affect the universe through her will before she is properly born[92]. Chaos' malice manifests as an all-consuming impulse for destruction in both the world itself and those who draw too close to it and become chaotic beings[93][94][95]. When she finally reconciles with her father, the impulse for destruction fades from the minds of lesser chaotic beings[96].
