Pretty simple calculation for Metal Gear.
The portable railguns that Metal Gear cast use are stated to have a kinetic energy of 10 Megajoules, with said railguns using bullets.
Using this information we can plug these values into the formula for kinetic energy to find the speed of the railguns.
Mass of a rifle bullet is between 0.02 and 0.04 kilograms, will be using 0.03 kilograms as an average
Formula is: K.E. = 1/2 m v2
1,000,000 Joules = 1/2 (0.03) v2
66666666.7 = v2
8164.97 m/s = v
