Introduction

I've noticed that my explanations on Candies n' curses' soul manip was rather bare bones, so i've decided to write this blog in order to explain myself better

Why do they affect the soul?

There is many diffrent reasons as to why Candies n' curses have Soul Manipn such as

Official Descriptions

Candies n' curses have a journal filled with offcial description of charactes, enemies and even items, a lot of those help prove that Candies n' curses have soul manip

for example here is Olly's Description

"Olly is another student who's trapped in the mansion. Thoguh unlike Molli, he's been stuck fending ghosts off for three years prior to Molli's arrival. He's definitely a scaredy cat, but he has a good heart - and he'll do whatever it takes to survive and keep his soul intact. Apparently there's a story behind how he ended up in the mansion, but you'll have to ask him directly!"

the part that interests us is this one right here "and keep his soul intact" it's pretty straight to the point

Items such as the Sugar Heart's official description says that It drowns your soul in re-energizing goodness! meaning that Molli uses it to heal her soul which would help prove Monsters attack her spiritually.

Some Gameplay stuff

In Candies n' curses there is a special kind of HP known as Soul Heart Points which are basically Souls Molli can absorb in order to protect hers

The Devour Charm can literally make you eat souls

Souls are the literal currency of the game

What's the potentcy?

well, The void curse can steal people's souls and Molli and her allies can still attack and defeat monsters despite their attacks harming the soul.

thus Molli and her allies can harm soulless beings and it should realistically scale to everyone.
