Willpower Manipulation

Green Lantern (John Stewart) is apart of the Lantern Corps that deal with willpower, using pure willpower from his lantern

Background

The ability to manipulate the willpower of themselves, people, animals, or other creatures, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise channeling emotions, even manifesting the emotional energy to a physical level. This is normally a sub-ability of three separate abilities: Mind Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation, or Domination.

Possible Applications

• Depowering Will: The user removes willpower from opponents, this can normally depower a lot of their abilities, as a lot of characters abilities are normally based off their willpower. It can also cancel out fighting tactics such as people powering through pain through sheer willpower, or surviving attacks through sheer will. It can also allow someone to affect someone with one of their abilities if the person prior resisted from willpower.
• Empowering Will: The user grants further willpower to normally their allies. This essentially acts as a morale boost that allows their ally to become stronger, gain new abilities, or fight better due to better morale.
• Willpower Constructs: One through manipulating their willpower can make constructs out of their will, the most famous example of this being the Green Lantern Power Ring. This allows one to make things from their will, shoot out energy blast from their will, etcetera.

Limitations

• Opponents with no sense of willpower completely negate the ability.
