Background
Mother: Cognitive Dissonance (Or [Mother] CogDis for short) is a fanmade game that takes place as the same universe as the original franchise, before Mother 1 and Mother 2.
The story is about Alinivar, a mook who lives on the planet Saturn, who died to Giegue, but was revived by the Apple of Enlightenment. The Apple tells Alinivar that it has split itself across the solar system, asking Alinivar to collect the pieces before Giegue and his forces can do so. Alinivar teams up with Colonel Saturn, Larice, Zarbol, and Niiue along the adventure, collecting his eight points of power.
