Summary
Afterimage Creation is an ability utilized to create afterimages, a visual effect leaving transparent figures appearing almost like apparitions of the user, from the process of acceleration. This technique is widely applied to show just how fast a character is moving in a situation, most notably to puzzle the perception of another combatant of the user's true location due to the brain incorrectly processing those images.
Users
- Various Dragon Ball characters
- Saitama (One Punch Man)
Notes
At best, the only speed at which such feats can claim is the Subsonic range. Some people may claim that after-images mean that a character is moving faster than light, but it's both misplaced reasoning and an outlier for many characters.
