Introduction
This blog is for the various different feats in Castlevania that I'll be calculating, as I now just put all my calculations for one verse into one blog to make them far easier to find.
Golem Shoots a massive energy blast
Calculation
For the sake of the calc since the shot doesn't show his entire body, I'll assume half his body.
Golem's body is 220 px and the background is 400 px, the length is 145 px, and the depth is 76 px.
Using 150 cm as assuming half body, that hole is 272.7272727272727 centimeters long, 98.86363636363636 cm wide, and 51.81818181818182 cm in height.
Altogether that is 1,397,163.786626596 cm3.
Now Golem can do this on any stage, the stages are listed here: https://www.castlevaniacrypt.com/jud-stages/
For reference, Castlevania is a far more advanced time then us, for reference, in games like Castlevania 64 they already have motorcycle technology and miniguns to fire with, and that game takes place in 1852. So with this in mind, I'll be using the alchemy lab and assuming what we have our modern labs made out of, which is stainless steel. Density of stainless steel is 7.5 to 8.0 g/cm3. We'll go with the higher end due to how advanced Castlevania is.
1,397,163.786626596 cm3 * 8.0 g/cm3 = 11,177,310.29301277 kg
Stainless steel's specific heat capcity is 0.500 J/g-°C or 500 J/kg-°C.
Melting point of Stainless steel is 1400 - 1455 °C.
Q = m*c*ΔΤ
Q = (11,177,310.29301277 kg) * (500 J/kg-°C) * (1455 °C)
Q = 8.1314932381667902e12 J or 1.943473527286517788 Kilotons of TNT, City District level.
Who does this scale to?
Seeing as Golem is a character from Judgement, this is an interesting question indeed. The thing is, this is a boss enemy that makes a repeated appearance in Castlevania games. So one could theoretically say all of them scale, however most of the golems from what I remember, cannot shoot an energy beam from their mouth like this golem can. Some of them do have fire beams so I will assume that it's just a golem with that + he was killed by a random unknown hunter.
