Background
Peter Parker, aka, Spider-Man is the main protagonist of Spider-Man Unlimited.
When John Jameson launches a one man mission to Counter-Earth, an alternate version of the Earth known to humanity, Venom and Carnage board the space shuttle. Spider-Man fails to stop Venom and Carnage, which leads to them sabotaging the shuttle. Spider-Man is blamed and ridiculed by New York as well as the media, claiming he's the reason John has lost contact with Earth and may never return.
