Extended Blade Range

Background

The ability or effect of extending the range of a weapon or attack. Usually in most cases with melee weapons, the force of the weapon actually extends the range of it. Because it is invisible, it’s quite normal for opponents to be caught off guard by the attack.

However in lots of other cases, it’s an actual ability for the weapon to have an extra effect where the blade is extended by an invisible force.

Users may be cable of attacking a target from a distance without actually moving to that location. Often this can give off the impression that the user is really fast, when in reality they don’t actually move that quickly.

Possible Applications

• Durability Bypassing/Negation: In some cases the user is attacking through space, which ignores conventional durability.
• Intangible Strike: The user can do attacks that go through physical objects.
• Invisible Strike: The user can do attacks that cannot be seen.
• Dimension Cut: The user can cut through dimensions, normally to be used for abilities such as Dimensional Travel.
• Telekinetic Force: The user can control objects they cut.
• Wind Manipulation: The user generates wind currents through their slashes.
• Distance Negation: The user can ignore distance to slash at a person, an example of this would be that they slash right in front of themselves and hit an opponent whose 4 kilometers away.

Limitations

• The extended part might not be as powerful as the actual weapon with direct contact.
