The Flash can move fast enough to hit a person a thousand times before they can react

Introduction

Speed Blitz the term used to describe moving faster then the other to the point that the other can't even react or keep up. Unlike outpacing where the character is generally just faster but the other side can still keep up, a blitz leaves no hope for the other side to keep up.

An example of a "blitz" in real life would be a person getting shot; the bullet moves at such a fast pace, the victim is unable to react to or even see the bullet coming at them.

It should be noted that frequently characters in fictional fights will refrain from blitzing. This is normally due to the character's personality or plot induced stupidity.

Speed Blitz in Versus Threads

The speed gap in versus thread needed in order for a blitz to happen would be a gap of 4.45x.

Some important points to consider regarding this guideline are listed below:

  • The 4.45x gap is based on the difference between the baseline value of subsonic and the baseline value of peak human (34.3/7.7=4.45...) as subsonic is viewed as faster then the eye can perceive to even a peak human.
  • This value is only an approximation and the actual gap can be higher or lower depending on certain factors.
  • This only applies in our versus threads as the speed blitz gap for regular verses varies greatly. Do not use the speed blitz value to try and argue your character having an extremely inflated speed scaling chain.
