Summary

Ryo Utsugi is a young, brooding university student who is commonly bed-bound due to his reoccurring nightmares of a blood freezing demon. As a member of the mountaineer club, Ryo decidees to come along to a hike of the freezing Himalayan Mountains. Here, inside of a cabin, his dreams become reality as a familiar telepathic voice calls for him to set them free. This voice drives Ryo insane, and he runs outside into the cold and leaps off the cliff. Shocking the other members of the club, however, Ryo suddenly disappears from the air.

Ryo, using his sheer power, transported himself to the ice-hell of which the Demon Lord Dante is sealed. Dante convinces the young man that he has been wrongfully sealed, and is set free from the prison which God initially bestowed upon him. Instantly after his freedom, the Demon Lord massacres and devours Ryo. Unknowingly to them both, Ryo would take over the mind of the Demon Lord and fulfill his destiny as the reincarnation of the original Dante, where he would fight the evil God who changed history for the devils of the original world to be seen as evil.
