Placebo Effect

Introduction

The Placebo Effect is a state where one believes something enough to where they feel some form of effect from something, despite it in reality being a lie. A common example is one giving someone a glass of water and telling them it has healing properties, from one drinking said water they are healed and then the person reveals that the water was actually just regular water. It essentially is a sub-power of Subjective Reality or Observation, though both of those are not required in order to have this. In real life placebo effects only give minor help to a person, and cannot fully cure diseases. In fiction however, placebos can greatly bolster one's stats from them just believing alone that they're drinking something that makes them stronger and faster, can heal wounds just from making them believe the wounds have been healed, and many more. This can function as both a strength and a weakness as one can turn the placebo against one, making them believe they are taking something like poisonous water and having them be poisoned in the process.

Limitations

• Many users of this will lose the effect if they learn it was all a placebo effect.
