The following calculation is taken from this google document (With adjustments made for our current standards. The Kinetic Energy portion isn't used as it does not meet our Kinetic Energy standards.

Calculating the Explosion

Kirby’s Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland’s Moon Explosion It’s important to note that the size of the hole left in the moon varies from game to game, mostly with the size being larger than how it's depicted here. That said, it’s probably for the best to just assume that the high is the most likely answer (Especially given how future Kirby games ramp up in feats)


Diameter of the Moon (380 px) = 3474km

Radius of the explosion (149.9px) = 1370401.57895

1370401.57895^3*((27136*1.37895+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2 = 8.654076816e+23 joules, or 2.068374e+14 tons of TNT (206.83740000000000236 teratons of TNT), 6-B.


Calculating the Fracture Strength


Diameter of the Crater (185.3 px) = 1746.8km

Radius of the Crater = 873.4km

Volume of a Cylinder = 8.33e+12g^3 or 8.33e+24cm^3

8.33e+24*1.2 = 9.996e+24 Joules, or about 2389.1013 teratons of TNT (High 6-B).

Conclusion

Explosion itself: 206.83740000000000236 teratons of TNT (6-B)

Destroying a hole in the moon: 2389.1013 teratons of TNT (High 6-B)
