Introduction

The Aurum Battle Ship explodes with a massive shockwave leaving in its trail. It's mathin' time.

The Calculation

For starters, I'm going to be using this as my reference when making this. This is how we calculate the energy of real shockwaves from explosions.

Our formula is E = ( ρ / t^2 ) * ( r / c )^5

First, we'll need to find our distance the shockwave traveled (Specifically the distance it traveled in-shot, not in total).

The average doorframe is roughly 203.2 centimeters (2.032 meters).

The tower at the center of the battle ship is 1068.1px, or 49.3267999981 meters in diameter.

The Aurum battleship is 1315.2px, or 271.101576913 in width.

This makes the area the shockwave traveled onscreen 1199.57620383 meters.

Our video plays at 25fps (Slow, yes, but it's a 3ds game), so 1/25 = 0.04 seconds per frame.

As found here, the shockwave took 13 frames to cover the right-hand side of the screen. That's .52 seconds, or just barely over half a second.

Now then, time to plug everything into our formula.

C = 1.10

r = 1199.57620383m

ρ = 1.225 kg/m^3 (density of air)

t = 0.52 seconds

E = 6.9872324e+15 joules, which is 1.669988623326959853 megatons, or just barely into City level

Edit: I'll be attempting to use the whole shockwave's travel distance for this next version, since I believe that will net higher results.
