Introduction

Okay, so in Chainsaw Man, the Americ-I mean Gun Devil nukes an entire city block with its attack. Now while I'm aware this attack reaches far more than what we see here, it's hard to get a size of the amount of destruction that was committed, so looking exclusively at the panel with the city.

The Calculation

Building Our Final Equation

In this panel shot, we can see the amount of destruction caused by the Gun Devil's attack.


Scaling the destruction to one of the High Rise complex buildings, we can get a reference for the size of this crater. High Rise Buildings in Japan are about forty meters tall.


Comparing the diameter of the cylinder-like area makes the distance 214.391967269m. And the width of said area is about 811.825957586m.

Now, we're going to use the Tornado Values as our reference for this feat, thus calculating the kinetic energy of the wind caused by Gun Devil's attacks.

Given the area is cylinder shape, we'll be using that to get our volume.

Volume of a cylinder = π*r^2*h

Pi is pi, radius is 107.195983634m, and height is 811.825957586m

V= π*(107.195983634m)^2*(811.825957586m) = 29306896.7063m³

The density of air is 1.204 kg/m^3.

(29306896.7063m³) * (1.204 kg/m^3) = 35285503.6kg

Alright, now with all of that out of the way, it's time to get our final answer.

Final Equation

E = 1/2 m v², where m is mass, and v is velocity. Our mass is already established, but for velocity, we're just going to assume one second, since that's a fair assumption compared to how fast the Gun Devil was attacking in other places like Hawaii.

0.5 * 35285503.6(kg) * 811.825957586(m/s)² = 11627656443760 Joules, or 2.7790765879 kilotons of TNT

Conclusion
