Introduction

So in The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, Ganon can block all incoming attacks with his Trident. It doesn't matter how close you are either. Time to get a ridiculous speed for this!

The Calculation

Building our Final Equation

So for starters, we need to find out how big that Trident is. To make it simple, we'll simply say it's six feet (1.8288 meters) due to it being bigger in appearance than the player.

Now this Trident is double-sided, so we can't assume it spins a full 359° to catch arrows, so we'll divide that by half of that.

The formula to get the distance the Trident moved is (91.44*2*pi)*(180/360) = 287.267232244 centimeters.

Now, due to the arrow projectile being blocked no matter where it's shot, we'll assume one centimeter is the distance it traveled. Compound bows can fire arrows at two-hundred miles per hour, or 89.408 m/s

This makes the formula for our timeframe (1cm)/(89.408 m/s) = 0.000111847 seconds. With that, we have our final formula.

Final Equation

(287.267232244cm)/(0.000111847s) = 25683.9 m/s, which is mach 74.88017493. That is Massively Hypersonic, a reasonable speed for a feat like this.
