Attack Chips
Cannons
Cannon Series
- Cannon: Known as LaserBlast in English dub, known as Blaster in the 20th episode of MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, is the most basic form, being Chip #001 in every game and appearing in every starting folder in the series. It always deals 40 damage.
- High Cannon: Shortened to HiCannon, known as HiBlaster in the 20th episode of MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, is the second chip. It deals 80 damage in the first, fourth, and fifth games, and in Network Transmission; 60 damage in BN2-3; and 100 damage in BN6.
- Mega Cannon: Shortened to M-Cannon, known as MegaBlaster in the 20th episode of MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, is the third and strongest chip. It deals 120 damage in the first, fourth, and fifth games, and in Network Transmission; 80 damage in BN2-3; and 180 damage in BN6.
- Dark Cannon: A Dark Chip that appeared in Mega Man Battle Network 4. Its damage dealt is equal to the difference between your current and maximum HP, similar to an unrestricted ranged Muramasa. However, as with all Dark Chips, it causes a bug after being selected, and this one drops all of MegaMan's Buster Stats to 1.
- Cannon Mode: A Battle Chip from Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation that makes the NetNavi use Cannon several times.
Program Advances
- Zeta/Omega-Cannon: Zeta Cannon, shortened to Z-Canon, known as ZetaBlaster in the 20th episode of MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, is a family of Program Advances in the first three Mega Man Battle Network games and Mega Man Network Transmission created by combining Cannon chips in three consecutive chip codes out of five. Z-Canon1 is formed with Cannons from the codes of A, B, C, D, and E in all three games. Z-Canon2 is formed with three High Cannons, with code sets of (F, G, H, I, J), (C, D, E, F, G), and (H, I, J, K, L) in game order. Z-Canon3 is formed with Mega-Cannons, with code sets (K, L, M, N, O), (E, F, G, H, I), and (O, P, Q, R, S). The Z-Canon in Mega Man Network Transmission is created by using Cannon, HiCannon, and M-Cannon. The Advances grant five seconds of invisibility and unlimited uses of their component chip during this time. Omega-Cannon, shortened to O-Canon, is an upgraded version in the first two games that uses all five codes in order. Like other Omega PAs, it lasts for 10 seconds instead of 5.
- Powered Cannon: Powered Cannon is formed by combining Shotgun, CrossGun, Spreader, and Mega Cannon in K code, and only appears in the first Mega Man Battle Network. MegaMan summons a massive cannon that hits a 3x3 area on a successful hit.
- Giga Cannon: Giga Cannon is the replacement to Zeta Cannon, and a successor of sorts to the Powered Cannon, introduced in Mega Man Battle Network 4. Instead of gaining the ability to shoot multiple Cannons, it does a single hit of massive damage, and in Mega Man Battle Network 6, it spreads to the 8 panels surrounding the point of impact as well. GigaCan1 is formed from Cannons A, B, and C in all games; GigaCan2 from HiCannons with code sets (C, D, E), (D, E, F), and (L, M, N); and GigaCan3 from M-Cannons with code sets (E, F, G), (G, H, I), and (R, S, T).
Spreader
- Shotgun: Known as Blaster in the English dub of the anime MegaMan NT Warrior, that appears if the first three Mega Man Battle Network games. It is a Battle Chip that fires a projectile straight forward and hits both the target and the square behind it. In the anime, it fires several projectiles from the buster.
- Bubbler: Known as Bubble Shot (バブルショット ) in Japan, is a stronger, Aqua element version of Shotgun that can be obtained from Shrimpy.
- Heat Shot: A stronger, Fire element version of Shotgun that can be obtained from Spikey.
- Bubble-V: A stronger, Aqua element version of V-Gun.
- Heat-V: A stronger, Fire element version of V-Gun.
- Bubble Side: A stronger, Aqua element version of Side Gun.
- Heat Side: A stronger, Fire element version of Side Gun.
- Bubble Cross: A stronger, Aqua element version of Cross Gun.
- Heat Cross: A stronger, Fire element version of Cross Gun.
- Dark Spread: A Dark Chip in Mega Man Battle Network 4 that deals 400 damage, but leaves its user a bug that leaves Poison panels when they step off a panel.
- Bubble Spread: Named Bubbler in the English version of the first Mega Man Battle Network game, is an Aqua element version of Spreader, dropped by the Puffy virus.
- Heat Spread: Named Heater in the English version of the first Mega Man Battle Network game, is a Fire element version of Spreader, dropped by the Buffy virus.
- 3-Way: A Battle Chip from Mega Man Network Transmission. Instead of a single shot splitting after hitting the target, it fires buster shots in three directions.

Aura
Aqua Aura (アクアオーラ ) is the weakest of all auras. It deflects all attacks doing under 10 damage, and is pierced by Elec attacks.
Fire Aura, known as Flame Aura (フレイムオーラ ) in Japan, deflects all attacks doing under 40 damage, and is pierced by Aqua attacks.
Wood Aura (ウッドオーラ ) deflects all attacks doing under 80 damage, and is pierced by Fire attacks.
Elec Aura (エレキオーラ ) deflects all attacks doing under 100 damage, and is pierced by Wood attacks.
Life Aura 1, known as Dream Aura 1 (ドリームオーラ1 ) in Japan, deflects all attacks doing under 100 damage and has no weaknesses. This is the Life Virus's primary form of defense, which is then picked up by Bass.
Life Aura 2 (Dream Aura 2) deflects all attacks doing under 150 damage and has no weaknesses.
Life Aura 3 (Dream Aura 3) deflects all attacks doing under 200 damage and has no weaknesses. From Mega Man Battle Network 3 onwards, variants of Life Aura are done away with, and Life Aura 3 automatically became the only Life Aura (ドリームオーラ , Dream Aura) chip. However, it now has a time limit of aproximately 5-6 turns. It also appears in the first Mega Man Star Force game.
Aura (オーラ ) is simple version of Life Aura 1 in the third game, being yellow instead of purple and deflecting attacks doing under 100 damage. It also appears in the Mega Man Star Force series.
Dark Aura (ダークネスオーラ , Darkness Aura) is a strengthened version of Life Aura, deflecting attacks doing under 300 damage. It is a Dark Chip, requiring a dark hole in the field or the Dark License program to be used. |

Barrier
- Barrier: Serves as shield for the player till it has taken hits that equal 10 or more in one hit that instantly goes over that limit - then it vanishes. In Mega Man Star Force 3 it serves as a shield for the user till it takes one hit, then it vanishes.
- Barrier 100: A stronger Barrier serves as shield for the player till it has taken hits that equal 100 or more - then it vanishes. In Mega Man Star Force 2 and 3 it was renamed as Super Barrier (スーパーバリア , SprBarrier). In Mega Man Star Force 3 it protects the user from five hits, regardless of the amount of damage taken.
- Barrier 200: Serves as shield for the player till it has taken hits that equal 200 or more - then it vanishes.
- Black Barrier: A Giga Chip from Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun and Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation that absorbs all attacks until a threshold of 150 is reached. The barrier will then disappear for exactly 3.1 seconds and then regenerate afterwards. The regeneration can take place independent of the player's status (e.g. the player can get hit by a Vulcan or other multi-hitting battle chip and the Barrier will regenerate regardless of flinching occurring). It is dropped by Bass on Black Earth 2. The only way to permanently disable Black Barrier is Wind Soul's initative Gust upon Double Soul or the North Wind Battle Chip.

These chips do not turn a NetNavi evil in themselves, but like the DS versions of Navi Chips they can only be used by Dark Navis.
All Evil Chips are present in Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation, but they are no longer considered Evil Chips, the user being free to use them without these requirements. Although some were made than their original BN4 chips.Mega Man Battle Network 4
