Age Manipulation

Background
Age Manipulation is the ability to alter the age of oneself or others, either advancing or reversing their physical and temporal development. Users can regress targets into infancy, render them elderly and physically weakened, or accelerate aging to the point of death. In some forms, this extends to affecting environments or objects, inducing rapid decay or restoring them to a youthful or untouched state. While often tied to temporal forces, certain users achieve this effect biologically or mystically rather than through conventional Time Manipulation.
Also Called
- Senescence Manipulation
- Youth/Old Age Control
- Aging Control
Possible Applications
- Regression of targets to a younger, physically weaker state
- Advancement to frail, elderly conditions or accelerated death
- Self-aging or self-regression for strategic advantage
- Restoring or decaying objects, structures, or environments
- Granting or removing longevity or youth
- Manipulating lifespan as a combat or support effect
Practical Uses
- Bypassing durability by forcing biological degradation
- Restoring youth for healing, disguise, or longevity
- Neutralizing immortals by forcing age conditions on them
- Weakening opponents without direct physical harm
- Repairing or restoring ancient items or ruined zones
- Supporting allies by extending vitality or removing senescence
Varaitions
- Age Acceleration: Rapidly advances the target’s age, leading to weakness, frailty, or death.
- Age Regression: Reverts targets to younger or infantile states, reducing strength, skill, or ability.
- Age Transferal: Exchanges age between targets, allowing one to become younger while another ages.
- Age Absorption: Drains age from others to rejuvenate oneself or grow older intentionally, potentially gaining power.
- Age Denial: Complete freedom from aging or the ability to temporarily ignore one’s own age.
- Temporal Aging: Age manipulation achieved through time-based control rather than biological means.
Possible Limitations
- May not affect non-living targets or mechanical entities
- Users may require physical contact or focus
- Immunity from beings without conventional aging (robots, undead, abstract entities)
- Excessive use may risk aging the user in turn
- Certain forms may be negated by strong temporal or biological resistance
