Background
SCP-4666, colloquially known as "The Yule Man," is an extremely dangerous humanoid entity of unknown origin that has been active for potentially thousands of years. Evidence suggests SCP-4666 has been conducting its ritualistic killings since at least the 2nd century AD in Europe and Russia, and possibly as early as the 1st century BC in Scandinavia. The entity became officially recognized by the Foundation in 1974 through their Anomalous Signature Recognition Program, which identified a pattern of similar home invasion incidents resulting in family deaths occurring throughout the Northern Hemisphere during the night of January 1-2. Subsequent research uncovered evidence of "Weissnacht Events" (SCP-4666's characteristic activity pattern) dating back centuries, with an average of 3.1 documented events per year.
SCP-4666 targets isolated rural families with children under the age of 8, subjecting them to a 12-night period of escalating phenomena culminating in either the brutal murder of the family and abduction of a child, or the delivery of grotesque "gifts" made from the remains of previously abducted children. The entity maintains an underground facility where abducted children are forced to create these macabre toys under threat of torture, cannibalism, or being turned into toys themselves.

Notable Techniques
Weissnacht Event: A 12-night ritual performed by SCP-4666 annually between December 21-22 and January 1-2. This complex procedure follows a specific pattern of surveillance, psychological intimidation, and culminates in either ritual sacrifice of a family with child abduction or the delivery of human-remains toys to children's beds.
Ritualistic Torture Methods: SCP-4666 employs various specialized torture techniques with apparent ritual significance, including exsanguination, impalement, calcination, precise dismemberment, and elaborate bodily arrangements. These methods often involve symbolic patterns, specific numbers of wounds, and the arrangement of body parts in meaningful displays.
Human Crafting: SCP-4666 creates various objects from human remains, including functional toys, musical instruments, and even transforming living children into dolls through extensive body modification. These creations serve both as "gifts" and as forced labor for abducted children in its underground facility.
Underground Captivity System: SCP-4666 maintains an elaborate underground network where abducted children are forced to create toys from human remains. This system includes a strict work-or-starve policy, punishment for non-compliance, and the conversion of sick or non-productive children into materials for new toys.
Other
Standard Tactics: SCP-4666 employs a methodical approach to its activities, following a consistent pattern during Weissnacht Events. It begins with observation and intimidation, then either proceeds with ritualistic killing of a family and abduction of a child, or leaves disturbing "gifts." When confronted, it relies on brute strength, using improvised weapons and its bare hands to overcome victims. SCP-4666 shows strategic planning in its selection of isolated rural homes with young children in snowy regions, minimizing the chance of outside intervention.
Weaknesses: SCP-4666's activities are restricted to a specific 12-day period each year from December 21-22 to January 1-2, limiting its active threat to this timeframe. It appears to only target isolated rural locations with snow cover and families containing children under 8 years old, making certain populations effectively immune to its predation. While extremely dangerous when active, its predictable pattern of operation provides a potential opportunity for containment efforts during its active phase.
