Shadow the Hedgehog

Alright so, Mega Mewtwo vs Super Shadow. So already Shadow's got a large edge in AP, Dura and Speed (High 6-A and MHS vs 5-C to 5-B and Rela+)

Shadow's opening moves are time stop with chaos control and Teleportation alongside utilzing his speed for physical attacks.

Mewtwo's AI makes him use Super effective stuff (which there's none here) and defensive moves. Seeing as Mewtwo has no super effective moves on Shadow i assume his opening move would instead be his Signature move, Psystrike.

I dunno if Mewtwo is really able to do something about Time Stop into physical strikes that outstats him

Recent update basically made them resistant to time based abilities so in that case at the very least time stop won't do anything. The speed and AP edge are indeed a huge problem however. It could try things like messing with Shadow by telepathically speaking to him and use attacks that bypass defenses like Future Sight. Using Psystrike could also be an issue since it's a special attack that ignores special defense.

However, there are some moves that would prove a serious issue to Shadow.

Power Swap and Guard Swap, which it is shown to open up with in its AI if the opponent seems to have too high of an attack or defense stat.

Psych Up could allow him to literally copy Shadow's stats and just become equal to him in speed and strength.

Psychic Power would likely be the equivalent to chaos energy since Pokemon can fight in realms where laws are distorted and their attacks, effects, and applications still work the same.

Overall I think this is genuinely based off if Shadow goes for the kill immediately as if not Mewtwo can set all of this up.

Shadow might try and go for chaos control sense it is his opener and it won't do shit to Mewtwo, so Mewtwo have a slight chance to pull this off before Shadow goes for the kill

I'll go for inconclusive for now, while the speed difference is big, it's very possible for Mewtwo to pull off moves instinctively due to Pokemon showcasing being able to dodge attacks while asleep which shouldn't even be possible.

I'll go for Inconclusive as well, mewtwo's Instinctive action + shadow likely opening with time manip makes the battle too close to call

Current arguments make me vote for inconclusive.

I would vote for Mewtwo because he has much more powerful attacks than what I remember in Sonic, although Shadow can do Chaos Control, he must say it for it to work and perform some gesture while Mewtwo's mental control is instantaneous because it is done with thought.

Chaos control also would be resisted while Mewtwo's instantaneous thought based stuff would generally counter, that is true. On top of that too like I mentioned with instinctive reaction where Pokemon can dodge moves even if they're asleep.

So yeah swapping my vote to Mewtwo, I see him taking it more times then Shadow.

With what Kido brought up i'll also be changing my vote to Mewtwo, seems like he pull off his wincon more often than not
