In Part 2, in his fight with Yoru, after getting blasted into a meat numb, Aging tried to give its blood to him, but in exchange, 10000 children will die, Pochita refused that.
And later on, Denji (in the Aging Realm) outright says that Pochita actively refused to eat Aging because he knew that Children will die, and Denji remarks that Chainsaw Man (Pochita) is a super hero.
So i wonder...why is he still Chaotic Neutral based just on part 1?
Topics btw would be Chainsaw Man (Series), Chainsaw Man (Series)/Denji since Pochita doesn't have a page yet. So edit that when you can.
Also yes since not wanting to kill kids is even some rules some villains have, one of the most famous scenes in Friday the 13th is Jason sparing a kid. It'd just further prove his chaotic netural rating since he's killed plenty of peopel without caring and never cared much of what Denji did including the not so good acts.

But Denji directly says that the reason why Pochita refused is because he is a HERO (very simplistic mindset from Denji, but it is understandable).
Pochita doesn't kill people because he is chaotic neutral, all of his kills are usually in self-defense or a accident, because of his overwhelming strength, not as a intentional way (thought yeah, he seems to not care about the death of civilians, but considering that we never find out what he thinks since he is incapable of speech and he doesn't want civilians to die...it is probably that he will feel bad, if he could actual try to express it).

Denji's worldview is very skewed since he also considers himself a hero and doesn't even understand what a "hero" realistically is so I wouldn't use his statements.
Chainsaw Devil was considered a top level devil even by Makima that would kill and destroy all in its path, it's literally killed dozens of things that we don't remember so I wouldn't call it exactly altruistic.
Trying to say we never see find out what he thinks is also conjecture, it's pretty clear he just doesn't care about insignificant civilians dying, his fight with Makima showcases that. There's also no real basis to say he'd feel bad for it, since his care is moreso functioned around Denji living a good life.
"Chaotic Neutral
Example: Captain Jack Sparrow
A chaotic neutral character is an individualist who follows their own heart and generally shirks rules and traditions. Although chaotic neutral characters promote the ideals of freedom, it is their own freedom that comes first; good and evil come second to their need to be free. Examples of this alignment include many barbarians and rogues, and some bards."
Denji's contract being fulfilled comes before anything else, Pochita never lambasses Denji for letting a civilian die and saving a cat instead, or such because he's living a happy life there.
