Symbiosis

Background

Symbiosis is a state of having a symbiotic relationship with another object, the most famous example of this being a parasite being in one's body and sharing it with the person. This ability can serve as a positive power, as one has essentially two minds to help in various situations such as combat, daily tasks, etcetera. Though it normally serves as a negative power, as one (normally a parasite) tries to take full control of the body, at times even trying to erase the others consciousness. The parasite may also need to do things like feed off of the host to live, essentially draining their life force and slowly killing them. Though there's other cases where the symbiosis isn't a parasitic relationship but rather a character is the only one that can activate or use another object. A common example of this exists in many mecha animes where only the protagonist can use the mech suit as it's connected to them in a way. This ability is similar too but differs from Fusionism as fusionism fuses things together to create a new form while symbiosis does not create a new form but rather gives a symbiotic relationship between two or more characters or objects.

• Spider-Man (Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy): In Spider-Man 3, Peter has his body attached to a symbiote that gives him a black suit where he's more aggressive in fights, he later gets rid of it and it attaches to an Eddie Brock, becoming one of his most popular villains, Venom.
