BROADWAY FORCE [PUBLISHED]

The Microbes from Rhythm Heaven not only cause their culture to dance, but also induce the desire into those watching them!

Summary

Broadway Force is the bizarre ability in which, through the power of song and dance, a group is forced to join in with a dance number. Whilst similar in nature to hypnosis, this is not Mind Manipulation. In fact, Broadway Force can bypass even immunity to said power, as shown by examples where mere objects and environments (which are, by default, without mind) are made to join in too. The potency of the ability varies from people to people, with examples like those from musicals opting to just make it a large-scale, joyful number, whilst others can take it further, such as gaining access to new powers through their rhythm, or even using it to subdue people into submission to take advantage of their hazed state. Due to its ability to at least temporarily incapacitate foes and obstacles, the ability has proven to be very useful to certain users.

Limitation

  • In order to initiate the ability, the user may also have to partake in the dance.
  • Certain users cannot use this ability to their advantage.

Users

  • Several characters from Rhythm Heaven
  • Para Para Brothers
  • The Music Meister
  • Mario and Luigi
  • Several characters from the musical and cartoon genres.

STATISTICS AMPLIFICATION

By consuming a Red Pepper, Mario or Luigi can boost their power at the expense of experiencing heavier gravity

Summary

In the heat of battle, holding the edge over your opponents can mean the difference between winning and losing. However, if your usual strength, speed, lifting strength or the like doesn’t quite cut it, then the ability dubbed Statistics Amplification could be what you need.

Users of this skill are able to heighten certain aspects of themselves, allowing them to potentially turn the tables, or at the very least fare better against their foe. The buff may be temporary or last for as long as the user needs and can be accessed in numerous ways, be it the user’s will, an item or technique, or through certain transformations. The key theme is that the abilities have augmented beyond the users base capabilities, and so not to be confused with the likes of Reactive Evolution, Affinity or the base form become permanently stronger.

Limitations

  • May take time or require external sources to activate.
  • May cause strain on the user's body from pushing themselves.
  • Not always enough to overcome a powerful foe, as the amount by which the increase occurs is often limited.

Users

  • Goku (through Kaio-Ken) and numerous other Dragon Ball characters (usually through Transformation).
  • Mario characters through numerous means.
  • Killer T (through becoming Memory T).

AFFINITY

Summary

Affinity, also known as Empowerment, is a case in which someone has an affinity to a certain factor, allowing them to become stronger, faster, etc. These factors are extremely case-by-case, being related to emotion of themselves and/or others, environmental factors, or other means. This ability is inherent to the users, and so the amp cannot be controlled or summoned at will. If the factors which the user has an affinity to subside or, in some cases, are cancelled out, then the user will lose the boost they received.

Users

  • The Hulk has an affinity to anger.
  • Boos have an affinity to other Boos, making them stronger in groups.

FORCEFIELD

Summary

Forcefields are barriers that can be used to protect the user from attacks. Whilst usually formed as a dome or wall around/in front of the user, forcefields created in other places is not unheard of. They can even be used as projectiles to serve an offensive property on top of this. Non-physical attacks like Telekinesis and Mind Manipulation can bypass forcefields, so it is usually only useful against physically hitting techniques.
