Background

War of the Monsters is a 3D fighting game for the PlayStation 2 developed by Incognito Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment and Capcom. The game was released on January 14, 2003 in North America and April 17, 2003 in Europe. It was later released in Japan on March 25, 2004. It was later re-released as a downloadable "PS2 Classics" title for the Playstation 3 on July 31, 2012. And was re-re-released as a downloadable title on December 5, 2015 for the Playstation 4, complete with HD graphics, trophy support, and online play through the systems "SharePlay" feature. The game is set in the aftermath of an alien invasion of Earth where their hazardous fuels have spawned giant monsters that battle one and another in city environments. The game pays homage to Kaiju and 1950s Science fiction films.

Power of the Verse

The verse consists of mainly large building sized kaijus getting into large scale fights with each other being capable of punching each other through entire buildings. Abilities are varied with characters having Fire Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Plasma Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation, etcetera.
