Introduction

Supernaturals and Ghosts are the main monsters for the Toilet-Bound Hanako Kun series. In the Toilet-Bound Hanako Kun series, Supernaturals and ghosts are both used interchangeable and share many traits with each other. In other words, ghosts can also be referred to be a type of supernatural. Both need rumors in order to exist on the Near Shore, and can either originate from the Far Shore themselves or created out of someone's ideals in special cases. Supernaturals are referred to any being that are not human or a being that seeks to attack humans. There are three subsets of Supernaturals being Ghosts, Yokai, and School Mysteries. Ghosts are referred to be supernaturals who were previously alive and may have attended Kamome Gakuen as a student in the past. However, they only exist due to their lingering attachment or regrets before dying. Yokai are beings that are described as being much stronger than normal Supernaturals that exist today. School Mysteries are the strongest known supernatural in the series, being the protectors of the Near Shore and the Far Shore. The help keep good relations with Humans and Supernaturals and protect the students inside of the school.

Standard Supernaturals

These are Supernaturals that are of common occurrence in the everyday world and are beings that regular Exorcists are able to deal with. While relatively weak, they can be very dangerous to the human population if they get out of control.

Abilities

• Incorporeality: Supernaturals are not able to be interacted with by normal people. Most supernaturals are avatars of their real selves, which live in boundaries or in the Far Shore.
• Abstract Existence: Type 1. Most Supernaturals embody a specific Rumor, in which they are create an avatar in order to exist on the Near Shore and live with humans. Their true bodies existing in the Far Shore, in which they don't have a physical form at all and keep coming back as long as the Far Shore exists.
• Null Existence: Type 3. When a Supernatural is destroyed, their Rumors get destroyed along with them. This makes the Supernatural fade out of existence entirely, making the idea of said supernatural nonexistent and forgotten by every human on the Near Shore. Their true forms exist in the Far Shore, in which they don't need Rumors to survive.
• Acausality: Type 5. Supernaturals exist in the Far Shore, which is completely outside of the multiverse and has no past, present, or future. Supernaturals like Hanako are able to go into different timelines or go outside of their multiverse into a separate one such as Attack on Titan and Dear My Living Dead. All Supernaturals are able to make a home or go to a Boundary Rift, which exists nowhere and is an infinite black void.
• Reactive Adaptation: Supernaturals are able to take in rumors as nutrients and grow stronger based on how popular they are. This increases their size, the strength of their abilities, and can affect their range their range.
• Superhuman Physical Characteristics: Most Supernaturals are able to easily smash through walls or rip humans apart with their strength.
• Self-Sustenance: Types 1, 2, and 3. Supernaturals don't need to eat, breathe, or sleep in order to stay alive
• Immortality: Types 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12. Supernaturals don't age, and will live forever unless killed directly. Supernaturals are able to regenerate from reality bring destroyed on them, They can also regenerating back as long as the Far Shore
