Background
Curtain Fire is the ability to produce many projectiles at a time, to overwhelm the target by the number of shots. Some users also add complex patterns to make dodging more difficult.
Requirements
Curtain Fire requires one to shoot out a multitude of projectiles in a short timeframe, normally machineguns and such are argued to not qualify for this, however, machine guns can empty 30 rounds in around 2.25 seconds, and while that is not as impressive as many of the other popular examples of curtain fire, it still is many projectiles produced at a time that overwhelms the target. Thus the requirement is for it to meet the definition of curtain fire.
Types
- Rapid Fire: This type is for weapons that aren't in multiple directions, but instead are a single rapid fire from a weapon, most commonly from machine guns, turrets, Gatling guns, or weapons of that type.
- Directional: Danmaku from a singular origin that can curve, wrap, go wide, narrow, or various other linear patterns.
- Multi-Directional: Danmaku from multiple points of origin that can do the same effects as the directional, now with multiple origin points.
- Omni-Directional: Danmaku from essentially every point of origin, attacks like these cover up the entire screen and are borderline undodgeable without a character having some form of Perfect Guard, Intangibility, or Autopilot.
Limitations
- Using it for long periods can be exhausting.
- Could be unable to control the trajectory of each projectile or be limited to patterns.
- Projectiles could be moving in a straight line, making it easy for more acrobatic users to avoid.
