'''Type 1: Unfixed Causality:''' Users of this type function under normal causality but their actions regularly defy it and make it non static, these are normally related to the archetypal characters that while bound by fate and causality, can still at times defy it and change it around them for their own gain or the gain of others. Regular examples would be a character being prophesized to die and they defy said prophecy to live. They can also do things like remember universal, timeline, or multiversal resets as they in some way defy time itself.

Raiden as an immortal exists outside of the laws of time making him affected differently by Kronika's powers

Introduction

Acausality is when a character breaks conventional causality, varying on the scale they break. For some characters, this means they don't exist in the past or future; for others, this means defying all logic and acting with complete disregard for any causality. This grants them resistances to abilities that rely on affecting the past or future such as: Causality Manipulation, Fate Manipulation, Plot Manipulation, Probability Manipulation, Precognition, and similar abilities.

Types

Type 1: Unfixed Causality: Users of this type function under normal causality but their actions regularly defy it and make it non static, these are normally related to the archetypal characters that while bound by fate and causality, can still at times defy it and change it around them for their own gain or the gain of others. Regular examples would be a character being prophesized to die and they defy said prophecy to live. They can also do things like remember universal, timeline, or multiversal resets as they in some way defy time itself.

Type 2: Future or Past Defiance: Users of this type have no past or no future. In some cases they lack both. This allows things like a past to not define the user and thus time paradoxes cannot affect them, or for them to carve out their own future.

Type 3: Temporal Singularity: The user of this type is essentially similar to the previous type, unlike the previous type who still has multiple present versions of themselves, this type is akin to Singular Existence, as the character exists only within the present of a given timeline. This grants them resistances to abilities that rely on affecting the past or future.

Type 4: Irregular Causality: Users of this type exist on a different and irregular level of Cause and Effect, different to our own. This grants them resistances to abilities that rely on conventional cause and effect. As the rules of cause and effect vary from fiction to fiction, it has been split into the following standard categories:

  • Established: For series with a realm with a pre-established world with irregular worlds, such as the Death Drive Mk II from No More Heroes, it falls under the "Established" category. This essentially means we are aware of what makes this particular world/area irregular in the first place, thus we can easily define how it operates and can index it properly. This also means that characters can receive specific resistances and abilities per the rules of the world that aren't just Causality Manipulation resistance.
  • Contradictive: This falls under rare scenarios. This applies to worlds and realms with laws and elements that are constantly shifting and warping. This can be compared to places like the Chaos Vortex from Kid Icarus, which is a world that ignores the laws of physics and is constantly changing as Pit progresses. Worlds like these have no defined system, therefore can't be properly compared. The perfect way to describe these worlds are worlds of pure chaos with no true rules, being pure "freedom". It's possible these kinds of realms can give characters a resistance to paradoxes and abilities similar in nature.
    • Users:
  • Anti-Relativity: This falls under cases where a character surpasses the speed of light, as under the rules of relativity nothing can move faster than the speed of light, with the speed of light itself being akin to a "cosmic speed limit". Thus surpassing this would be breaking relativity and by extension causality, where one would be under an irregular system.
    • Users:
  • Unknown: For worlds that are too vague or unestablished to define, such as Subspace from Scott Pilgrim, it will classify as "Unknown". This means that we don't know the full extent as to what makes this world "irregular", thus it can't be thoroughly dissected or deduced. This doesn't make it contradictive, but rather just too mysterious for us to ever define until further notice. These characters would only get the base resistance of a standard resistance to Causality Manipulation and whatever else the media shows for them.

Type 5: Causality Immunity: Users of this type are outside of Causality, they do not function on any level of causality and, are transcendent over Cause and Effect. Any attempts of a person or ability that functions on a Cause and Effect system cannot traditionally harm the User as neither the cause or effect will initiate, as the attack will be bound within a system the user does not exist within.

Note: This ability can correlate with Time Paradox Immunity however, the effects aren't the exact same.
