Background

Herbert West is the protagonist of the Re-Animator trilogy of films, inspired by the novel by H.P. Lovecraft Herbert West ─ Re-Animator.

Herbert was studying at the University of Zürich in Switzerland, and together with his professor, Dr. Hans Gruber, he worked on the creation of a biochemical serum that was capable of restoring the life of a dead being. When Dr. Gruber died of cardiac arrest, Herbert tested the serum on the corpse of his professor, but because he did not administer the dose properly, the body did not revive properly and ended up spiraling out of control. West was expelled from the University of Zürich, but thanks to an agreement, he would be sent to the Miskatonic University in his home country of the United States to continue his research. It would be here where Herbert would be determined to perfect his Reanimating Serum in order to find the secret of life after death.

The Reanimating Serum allows you to use Necromancy (By injecting your serum into deceased bodies they can return to life as zombies), Life Manipulation (Is capable of giving life to independent parts of corpses using the serum and which can create new life forms from this way), and Biological Manipulation (An overdose of the serum is capable of causing bodies to get out of control and explode).

Intelligence: Genius. Herbert West is a fairly experienced doctor with extensive knowledge of the human body, he is also a chemical expert who has been able to create a substance that revives the dead, and his ingenuity is great enough to continue conducting experiments inside a prison maximum security without being discovered. The use of him in his arms has allowed him to get rid of a couple of soldiers in Peru by shooting them without giving them the possibility of attacking him, using only a pistol.
