Background
Guilty Gear is a fighting game series by Arc System Works, made and designed by Daisuke Ishiwatari.
The universe of Guilty Gear is essentially identical to the real world, with an exception of the existence of Magic and "the Backyard", an alternate dimension of information. The Y2K sensation of technology shutting down actually happens, forcing the world to run technology on magic. A man with immense intellect known as "The Original" enters the Backyard, and creates the Universal Will with the goal to protect humanity. Magic users have access to a variety of powers, such as Law Manipulation, Fate Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation, Reality Warping, Dream Manipulation, Information Manipulation. Other characters have more hax, such as Existence Erasure, Subjective Reality, Mind Manipulation, Soul Manipulation, etc.
