Nightshroud (Yu-Gi-Oh!) embodies the void and its logic.

Summary

Nonexistent Physiology refers to the ability to exist as in a state of nothingness or in a state of general nonexistence. While those with this ability continue to “exist”, the state of their being is that of nothingness on one level or another.

Types

Type 1: Physical Nonexistence: Physically nonexistent beings don’t physically exist on the material plane. While they can be thought of and remembered and they may even have a visible, physical form, they cannot be harmed by conventional means due to already being “nonexistent”.

  • Examples: Timmy Turner (Fairly Odd Parents)

Type 2: Material Nonexistence: The lack of any conventional existence. Such a character will exist as something beyond the normal scope of the physical and metaphysical worlds, instead existing as an idea or other unconventional state. Such entities can be conceptualized by individuals, but do not exist in a physical or normal metaphysical form, such as a soul.

  • Examples: Cloud of Darkness (Final Fantasy III), Coyote (Gunnerkrigg Court)

Type 3: Conceptual Nonexistence: The ability to exist as a completely nonexistent being, being composed entirely of nothingness. These characters are completely immune to conventional harm on their level of nonexistence since they are already “nonexistent”, leaving literally nothing to destroy. In terms of binary, this would be a 0, where existence is 1 and nonexistence is 0.

  • Examples: Dark Area Digimon like Lucemon and Lilithmon (Digimon), Roxas (Kingdom Hearts), Chara (Undertale)

Type 4: Ayin: Ain/Ayin (Kabbalah) literally meaning "Not", is beyond nonexistence, being a state of nothingness/oblivion so absolute that it cannot be even commented or described, you can only stay silent on it. The characters that exist within this state of an absolute nonexistent state, being the most highest form of nonexistence and completely imperceptible. In terms of binary, this would be having no code, where existence is 1 and nonexistence is 0.

Limitations

  • As the user no longer exists, they may be unable to interact with reality.
  • Affected by Void Manipulation and similar powers.
