'''Delayed Effect''' are strikes or attacks that have a delayed effect on an enemy, with them not realizing things such as already being cut, dead, or other injuries. This attack is most famous with swordsman who famously cut people without the character reacting until the person sheathes their sword. While seeming useless in theory, the effects of this ability has the enemy feel all of the pain they didn't feel hit them at once.

Introduction

Delayed Effect are strikes or attacks that have a delayed effect on an enemy, with them not realizing things such as already being cut, dead, or other injuries. This attack is most famous with swordsman who famously cut people without the character reacting until the person sheathes their sword. While seeming useless in theory, the effects of this ability has the enemy feel all of the pain they didn't feel hit them at once. These can potentially even counter those with Perfect Guard as the effect isn't noticed until after their perfect guard has dropped.

Applications

  • Delayed Slash: The enemy is cut in half but does not realize their cut until the swordsman sheathes their sword.
  • Delayed Strikes: The enemy is struck but feels no pain from the attack until the effect hits, making them feel all of the strikes at once.
