Background

Transferal is the ability to transfer something physical, spiritual, abstract, mental, conceptual, etcetera, and put it either in oneself or someone else. This ability largely varies on the scope, what it specifically targets, and what one can do with it.

Example Applications

Consciousness Transferral

Ino Yamanaka (Naruto) can use her special jutsu, the mind transfer jutsu, to transfer her consciousness into another target and eject the target's consciousness out

Consciousness Transferal is the power to transfer consciousness between bodies' locations. The user can transfer the mind/spirit/consciousness/soul of oneself and or others into another body or vessel, this essentially can make them immortal, from things such as age or death as they can merely transfer their consciousness into another body. Unlike Possession, the user is not possessing another person's body, but putting their consciousness into a new body to continue living, this could also be transferring their consciousness into computer programs, holograms, abstractions, dreams, etcetera. Though it can overlap with abilities such as Possession and Hive Mind.

Abilities it Mimicks

  • Possession: As essentially the user is transferring their consciousness into others' bodies, they can at times possess a user in their new body.
  • Hive Mind: As the user can transfer their consciousness into multiple bodies, making various bodies connected to one consciousness.
  • Immortality: As the user transfers their consciousness, they're essentially immortal as long as their consciousness is never destroyed.

Users

Soul Transferal

Soul Transferal is the ability to transfer souls from one body to another, essentially switching people entirely. The severity of this depends on the verse in question, though normally the person will be able to operate in their new body just fine, though they will rarely carry over their abilities from their previous body.

Damage Transferal

Damage Transferal is the ability to reproduce the injuries that an individual has suffered on his opponent or other individuals. The damage that the user shares with the targeted individual may be physical, mental, spiritual or supernatural, or a combination thereof. The transfer of wounds does not necessarily remove the wounds of the afflicted user, though this varies on the user.

User

Pain Transferal

Pain Transferal is the ability to transfer all the pain one has into another. Unlike Damage Transferal, the person does not get any of the injuries but instead feels the pain of the injuries, essentially being ghost wounds.

Death Transferal

Death Transferal is the ability to transfer the death of oneself onto another target or object. This is normally common in video games, where a character gets an item such as a doll that will die instead of them when the player's health reaches 0.

Fate Transferal

Fate Transferal is the ability to transfer the fate of oneself onto another target or object. For example, if one was fated to fall, they could transfer this fate onto someone else, making them fall instead.

Power Transferal

Power Transferal is the ability to transfer powers from oneself to another, or others. It is in a way similar to Power Bestowal, though one could also use this to steal powers.
