Corruption

Summary

The user can "infect" someone or something with the power of corruption, making the being or the thing infected evil. The user may take control of any darkness in the hearts of others to make them into their servants. This ability can be similar to Mind Manipulation and some of its facets. The user can even become stronger with the darkness and corruption of others by just being around them. The most powerful users of this ability are able to spread corruption like a virus and can infect not just living beings but they can corrupt and corrode spirits, elements/natural forces and abstract/conceptual properties. It is basically a combination of Disease Manipulation, Corruption and sometime, Corrosion. In rare occasions, users can use this ability to "purify" someone or something.

Possible Use

• Using the inner darkness/light in the victim's heart to corrupt or purify him/her.

• Corrupting others to make them the servant of the user.

• Growing stronger with darkness and corruption of others.

• Corrupting and corroding the very environment.

• Corrupting the target into looking different.

• Corrupting the target so that when fully corrupted, the target dies.

Type

Type 1 "Natural" Corruption: Users can use their words or actions to influence those who they are trying to corrupt. This method normally takes a lot of time and almost always results in a change in morals.

Type 2 Physical Corruption: Users can corrupt the opponent through physical contact. Users of this ability normally have to put a piece of themselves, or the corrupting material if it's not necessarily part of the user, into the target. The corrupting in this case normally acts like a disease, in that it spreads throughout the victim. The ability can potentially be used to mess with any part of the target, be it their body or their mind, though the soul is normally left untouched.

Type 3 Non-Physical Corruption: Users can corrupt others through non-physical powers. The user's influence can infect the target from afar, bypassing the need to enter the body. Given that this doesn't have to necessarily deal with the body, it can be method that messes with the target the most, as a non-physical based power can potentially affect non-physical based things.
