Elasticity
From The Codex

Background
Elasticity is the ability to stretch, elongate, flex, and twist one’s body beyond natural limits. Users can extend their limbs, contort their forms, and reshape their bodies for various purposes, such as reaching distant objects, evading attacks, or striking from unexpected angles. Some wielders of this power may exhibit additional properties, such as increased durability, resilience, or resistance to blunt force. Particularly skilled users can even emulate Shapeshifting by molding their forms into different appearances.
Also Called
- Stretching
- Plasticity
- Rubber Physiology
- Flexibility Manipulation
Possible Applications
- Size Manipulation: Expanding or contracting parts of the body at will.
- Shapeshifting: Altering bodily structure to mimic different forms.
- Enhanced Mobility: Extending limbs to travel long distances or climb structures.
- Enhanced Strength: Using stretched limbs for powerful, whiplike attacks.
- Slingshot Propulsion: Launching oneself by retracting and releasing stretched limbs.
- Enhanced Durability: Increased resistance to blunt-force damage due to elastic composition.
- Constriction: Wrapping around targets to immobilize them.
- Projectile Defense: Absorbing impact by deforming upon contact.
- Flattening: Compressing the body to fit through narrow spaces.
- Recoil Attack: Storing kinetic energy in stretched limbs for amplified strikes.
Potential Types
- Rubber Physiology: A body with properties akin to rubber, allowing extreme flexibility and impact absorption.
- Plastic Physiology: A more fluid elasticity that enables shaping into various complex forms.
- Taffy-Like Stretching: Extreme malleability resembling a soft, sticky substance.
- Inflation: Expanding body parts like a balloon to alter shape or float.
Possible Limitations
- Overstretching may cause strain or require time to retract.
- Damage to stretched limbs may be harder to recover from.
- Certain temperatures (extreme heat or cold) may affect elasticity.
- Vulnerability to slicing or piercing attacks.
- Loss of control may cause unintended entanglements.
- May be ineffective against stronger forces restraining movement.
