Articles About Ness
MOTHER Game - Manga - Novel
Other Media Super Smash Bros.

I was living in the quiet, peaceful rural town of Onett, and was the energetic yet common sort of boy you'd find anywhere. And then that day arrived... What flipped my destiny on its head was a mysterious meteorite that landed in the mountains out back one night. At the crash site, I learned something terrible from a life-form not of this Earth... "I hold the fate of mankind?!"''

Background

Ness is the main protagonist of MOTHER 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back - Ness's Adventure Memoirs, a short manga series that was used to promote MOTHER 2 in Japan. Along the way, he meets Paula, Jeff, and Poo, teaming up with them to fulfill the prophecy and defeat Giygas.

Powers and Techniques

Equipment

  • Basesball Bat: An old, worn out baseball bat that Ness uses as his main weapon.
  • Mr. Saturn Hat: A special hat that is able to outstretch a hand to block and reflect attacks.
  • Franklin Badge: A badge that reflects PSI attacks.
  • Receiver Phone: Allows Ness to receive calls from his dad.
  • Bicycle: A bicycle that Ness rides to travel through towns faster.
  • Flashlight: A flashlight that Ness brought with him to investigate the meteorite crater.

Weaknesses: Ness is unwilling to harm innocent people who are under Giygas's control, as he did not want to attack any of the Happy Happyists.
