Omnidirectional Attacks
From The Codex
Background
Omnidirectional Attacks is the ability to attack everywhere at once in a specific area. Depending on the user this could be a short-range attack or reach up to affecting everything in reality. This ability can be through typical omnidirectional methods, or through someone being somehow able to attack all points at once through something as simple as a punch. This ability allows the user to dispatch many foes at once, with more powerful users being able to destroy entire areas.
Possible Uses
- 360-Degree Range
- The most defining trait of this ability is its full-area coverage. The user can project energy, physical forces, or other attack forms in all directions, striking everything within their immediate radius.
- Depending on the range and intensity, the attack can cover small, localized areas or expand to larger ranges (e.g., battlefield-wide or even city-wide).
- Elemental
- Users can harness elemental forces (fire, lightning, wind, etc.) to generate blasts or waves that spread in all directions. For instance, a fire-based user might ignite a burning shockwave that scorches everything within range.
- Telekinetic
- Telekinetic users can release a wave of psychic force in every direction, pushing or crushing everything in their immediate environment.
- Physical Force
- A martial artist or physically powerful being could unleash a shockwave from their punches or slashes that radiates outward, damaging everything within their attack radius.
Limitations
- Collateral Damage
- Uncontrolled or overly destructive Omni-Directional Attacks can lead to unintended collateral damage. Allies, civilians, or even important surroundings might be harmed, especially in urban settings.
- Limiter Precision
- Omni-directional attacks lack precision, making them unsuitable for targeting specific enemies without harming others. It is a broad, sweeping offensive technique rather than a precise one.
