Background

Tom Smith, better known as the Easter Ripper, is the main antagonist in Murder House. In March 1979, he took a seasonal position as an Easter Bunny at a mall and started abducting children and taking them to his house where he raped (judging by one of the skeleton's positions) and murdered them. Smith would release children into his greenhouse and force them on a deadly egg hunt while he stalked and murdered them. One day, one of his victims escaped and exposed him, but instead of him being arrested, Tom's brother Anthony Smith turned himself in to save him and was executed by electric chair. Tom, however, couldn't control his urge to kill and to avenge his brother's death he continued with abducting some children at the mall. In 1988, he joined a local news crew who went to Tom's old house to shoot a haunted house story about the legend. There, he masqueraded as a cameraman while in secrecy he locked the entire house and destroyed the news van to prevent the team from escaping before slaughtering them one by one. He killed all the crew in horrendous ways. After Emma collects all 4 Easter eggs and escapes into the greenhouse, The Easter Ripper appears before her and reveals the truth to her: he was Tom, the cameraman. He reveals that he killed the news crew to avenge his brother Anthony, who took his place as the killer and was executed instead, before attacking her. Emma manages to defeat him. Tom reappears, but before he can kill Emma, the ground starts shaking and all of the victims he had killed start rising from the dirt and ashes. As Emma runs and manages to escape, the same can not be said for Tom. The children swarm him and attack him, shoving him to the floor before tearing him apart and devouring him. As Emma escapes, a bright light appears in the greenhouse before the game ends.
