Death Protection

Introduction

Death Protection is the ability to be protected by death either through Supernatural Protection or through having a reliance on one of the various different types of people, objects, concepts, etcetera. This ability can grant a form of Immortality, though it's moreso for protecting one from standard death, death from natural causes or aging normally will not fall into this. Some characters can also have this naturally without an outside source granting it to them.

Different Types of Reliance

Death Protection is normally through a reliance, which can be put into the following categories:

• Reliance on an object: The user cannot die as they are reliant to an object. This can at times give them abilities such as regeneration. Until the source is destroyed, the user themself cannot truly be killed.
  • Users: Hanako (Toilet-Bound Hanako Kun)

• Reliance on a Person: The user cannot die as they are reliant to a person. This can at times give them abilities such as regeneration. Until the source is destroyed, the user themself cannot truly be killed.
  • Users:

• Reliance on a Concept: The user cannot die as they are reliant to a concept. This can at times give them abilities such as regeneration. Until the source is destroyed, the user themself cannot truly be killed.
  • Users: Janemba (Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai)

• Higher Being: The user is reliant of their true self existing in a higher plane. Until their true self from a higher plane is destroyed, the user themself cannot truly be killed.
  • Users: Dragon God (Chrono Cross)

Types

• Partial: At this level, one is only protected from certain things that will kill them, without being totally impervious to death itself.

• Full: At this level, one is completely impervious to death, nothing can kill them.
